Joe Biden’s faced months of dismal poll numbers.
That’s led to internal Democrat Party conversations about Biden’s political viability going forward.
And Joe Biden just found how many Democrats actually want him to run again in 2024.
When Joe Biden ran for president in 2020 few Democrats loved Biden.
Liberals viewed Biden as their most electable candidate and rallied behind Biden after the establishment pushed also-ran candidates out of the field after Bernie Sanders threatened to win the nomination after wins in the New Hampshire and Nevada nominating contests.
But now that Biden is in office and his administration is piling up failures on inflation, Afghanistan, COVID and the border, Americans view Biden as a failed president.
During the campaign Biden promised to crush the virus and restore normalcy.
Instead, Biden’s imposed an ever-growing list of COVID mandates.
The toll on Biden’s job approval rating is obvious to all.
Biden’s approval rating sits at 42 percent in the Real Clear Politics polling average and that same polling aggregate shows a majority of Americans disapproved of Biden’s performance in office.
Americans don’t just disapprove of Biden as president.
Few want to see Biden run for re-election.
An I&I/TIPP survey found just 22 percent of Americans – and just 37 percent of Democrats – want to see Biden on the ballot in 2024.
TIPP wrote of the poll findings:
Even so, no favorite has emerged among the large field of potential challengers to run against Biden in the 2024 primaries. The I&I/TIPP Poll gave respondents the names of 16 other possible candidates, asking “Who do you want to see run for president on the Democratic ticket in 2024?”
As mentioned, Biden was named by just 22% of those asked, while 12% mentioned Vice President Kamala Harris, whose abrasive style, lack of preparation, and revolving-door personnel changes have drawn criticism even from formerly friendly Democrats and the left-leaning media.
The lack of voters that love Joe Biden is one of the biggest drags on his numbers.
A brand-new Wall Street Journal poll found just 41 percent of voters approve of Biden and a whopping 57 percent disapprove.
But what stood out in this poll was the lopsided difference in the intensity of disapproval versus the intensity of support.
Only 19 percent of Americans strongly approve of Biden and an eye-popping 46 percent of Americans strongly disapprove of Biden as president.
The lack of Americans fired up about Joe Biden’s presidency helps explain why so few Americans desire to see Joe Biden run for a second term in 2024.
