Joe Biden is leading in the polls and Democrats and the fake news media are already preparing his coronation this November.
But there is bad news on the horizon.
Joe Biden is facing down an ultimatum that could break his campaign for good.
During the final Democratic presidential debate, Biden pledged to pick a woman as vice president.
While that narrowed Biden’s field of choices, it also set up an intense lobbying campaign among female Democrats to get on the ticket.
No one embraced this competition more than failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams.
Abrams is an early 40s, black, female State Senator from Georgia that is a socialist in the Bernie Sanders vein.
In 2018, Abrams thrilled the Democrat grassroots and lost a close race for governor to Donald Trump-backed Republican Brian Kemp.
Abrams spent months telling anyone that would listen that she would gladly accept the vice presidential nomination.
In an appearance on ABC’s “The View,” Abrams escalated her vice presidential lobbying campaign by declaring that black women were the backbone of the Democrat Party and that it would be an insult if Biden did not pick a black woman as his running mate.
“I think Vice President Biden is going to make a smart choice. I appreciate the fact that he has lifted up women as being a necessary partner in this. I would share your concern about not picking a woman of color because women of color, particularly black women, are the strongest part of the Democratic Party, the most loyal, but that loyalty isn’t simply how we vote, it’s how we work. If we want to signal that that work will continue, that we’re going to reach not just to certain segments of our community, but to the entire country, then we need a ticket that reflects the diversity of America,” Abrams insisted.
But many top Democrats think the idea of a 43-year-old State Senator one heartbeat away from the presidency when Biden is 78 years old and clearly going senile would alienate swing voters.
In a softball interview with The Atlantic – an outlet that serves as the voice of the liberal establishment – Abrams also tried to address her lack of experience.
Abrams claimed daydreaming and spending some time on the internet reading blogs proved her foreign policy chops.
In the interview, Abrams said she has “spent the last 20 years thinking about international issues independently and been to 16 countries doing policy work … as an inquisitive young person and then as a legislator.”
Abrams also tried to bolster her credentials to lead by promoting the fact that she managed radical left-wing activist groups as proof she could step in on day one and serve as president.
“I’m the only person I know of that’s in this conversation who has successfully run multimillion-dollar nonprofits, for-profits, and have led teams at the state and the local level,” Abrams added.
But Abrams left out the fact that she can’t balance a checkbook as evidenced by the fact that she owed $54,000 in back taxes.
Stacey Abrams is completely unqualified to be vice president of a homeowners’ association, let alone Vice President of the United States.
There is little chance Biden will pick Abrams, but Abrams’ public demands to be on the ticket could set up a situation where a chunk of the Democrat Party base becomes disillusioned when Biden passes over Abrams and chooses to stay home in November.
