Donald Trump is looking to run for president in 2024.
Democrats fear Trump winning a second term above all else.
Joe Biden got handed some bad news that will have Democrats tearing their hair out.
Democrats have spent years drooling over the possibility of turning Texas blue.
Liberals saw the growing Hispanic population as the key to flipping the state.
Republicans cannot win the presidency without Texas’ 38 Electoral College votes.
When Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke lost to Ted Cruz by three points in 2018 and Donald Trump won Texas by 5.5 points in 2020, Democrats thought they were on the verge of creating an Electoral College lock on the presidency.
But Joe Biden’s calamitous presidency crushed those dreams.
The latest Quinnipiac poll from Texas showed Joe Biden’s approval rating crashed a net 24 points from June to September.
In June, Biden sat at 45 percent approval with 50 percent disapproval.
Now just 32 percent of Texans approve of Biden and 61 percent disapprove.
Biden’s plunge in popularity is driven by his support for open borders and vaccine mandates.
Quinnipiac wrote of their poll:
Voters in Texas give President Joe Biden a negative 32 – 61 percent job approval rating. This marks a 24- point net change from June 2021, when 45 percent of Texas voters approved of the job he was doing and 50 percent disapproved.
On Biden’s handling of the response to the coronavirus, voters give him a slightly negative 44 – 49 percent approval rating. This is a substantial drop from June 2021 when they approved 58 – 37 percent.
On Biden’s handling of the situation at the Mexican border, voters give him a negative 20 – 71 percent approval rating, which is a drop compared to a negative 29 – 64 percent rating in June 2021.
The crisis at the southern border is a national crisis.
Joe Biden’s open borders policies invited 15,000 Haitian illegal aliens to mob under a bridge in Del Rio, Texas and just a small percentage were deported back to Haiti.
And despite Democrats’ delusions, Hispanic voters disapprove of Joe Biden by 18 points.
This continues the trend of Hispanic voters trending towards the Republican Party thanks to Donald Trump’s opposition to illegal immigration, defunding the police and COVID lockdowns and vaccine mandates.
In the 2020 election, counties along the Rio Grande Valley, including the country where Del Rio is located, swung dramatically to Donald Trump.
Joe Biden’s disastrous poll numbers in Texas show this is a durable shift that shows structural problems in the Democrats’ messaging and policy priorities.
If Donald Trump runs for president again in 2024 the realignment in American politics will continue and Democrats’ dreams of an “emerging Democrat majority” based on college-educated white voters combining with minority voters to build a national coalition could come undone.
