Joe Biden is not getting off to the start he wanted.
The fake news media is pulling out all the stops to cover up for Biden’s failures.
But Joe Biden got an ultimatum on the border crisis that made him admit a huge defeat.
Six Republican state attorneys general signed a letter to Biden warning Biden that if he tried to implement his socialist agenda through illegal executive orders, they would challenge him in court and win injunctions blocking his unconstitutional power grabs.
Patrick Morrisey of West Virginia, Ken Paxton of Texas, Austin Knudsen of Montana, Lynn Fitch from Kansas, Todd Rokita of Indiana and Leslie Rutledge from Arkansas’ letter read, “Overreaching and defying Congress will not be rewarded or succeed. Our States have led the charge in successfully challenging unauthorized and unlawful executive actions, as you know from your years as Vice President,” they warned. “You can be assured that we will do so again, if necessary.”
The six attorneys general cited the full gamut of socialist policies Biden may attempt to impose through executive fiat.
But chief among them was Biden throwing open the borders and trying to impose a massive amnesty through executive action.
“Whether it be directing a wide swath of federal agencies to exceed their limited statutory mandates to implement the extreme ‘Green New Deal’ agenda that Congress has not enacted, making transformative changes to our healthcare system that were specifically rejected in passing the Affordable Care Act, strong-arming businesses into changing practices to adhere to unreasonable and twisted interpretations of long-extant statutes, having the Department of the Treasury and the Federal Reserve conjure up massive boondoggle spending sprees without congressional authorizations and appropriations, usurping the authority of the States to protect local streams, or tearing down immigration statutes passed by Congress by executive fiat, we will not hesitate to defend America against illegal executive actions,” the letter added.
Biden already got a taste of the reality that these Republican attorneys general meant business.
The state of Texas drew first blood in the legal battle with the Biden administration winning an order pausing Biden’s order to rollout the red carpet for illegal aliens by ending virtually all deportations for his first 100 days in office.
That setback caused Biden to delay a series of executive orders on immigration to loosen asylum restrictions Donald Trump put in place.
Right now the Democrats have all the power in Washington, but Republicans still wield tremendous power in the courts and statewide elected office by virtue of Donald Trump’s coattails in down-ballot elections as well as the remnants of the two midterm wipeouts during Barack Obama’s presidency.
And Republican attorneys general put Joe Biden on notice that they are not afraid to flex their muscles and block any attempts to end run the Constitution and govern like a dictator.
