Early on Monday, President Trump was urging Mexico to prevent “caravans” of immigrants from reaching the U.S. In a tweet,
President Trump said that Mexico has “absolute power” in this situation and should now allow these large groups of people into their country.
In the tweet, Trump also said that Mexico needs to stop the immigrants at the Northern Border. He said Mexico can do this easily, since “their border laws work.” And that Mexico should not be allowing these immigrants to pass into the United States, seeing as we currently do not have effective border laws.

The president’s tweet came on Sunday after a segment of Fox & Friends. The topic of the segment was “an army of migrants, who were traveling from Honduras.
On Monday, President Trump once again began insisting that Congress protect our nation’s border. He even said this could be done by utilizing the “Nuclear Option if necessary.” This option would change Senate ruling and allow just a simple majority to pass legislation.
