Democrats will stoop to any level to defeat Arizona Republican gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake.
But the Democrats’ desperation led to some bad decisions.
Hillary Clinton wanted a fight with Kari Lake. This is why it was the worst mistake of her life.
Clinton and the Democrats adopted a deranged messaging strategy that “election deniers” like Kari Lake – who questioned the results of the 2020 contest – running for office would end democracy.
“We are in a struggle between democracy and autocracy. This is a time of great ferment and it is a time when the United States should be standing strongly on behalf of our values of democracy and freedom of opportunity and equality, instead of being engaged in this culture war driven by the political opportunism of people on the Republican side of the ledger,” Clinton said in an interview on CNN.
The Democrats claim anyone who questions the results of an election is a seditious traitor and an enemy of the American experiment.
But there is a huge problem with this argument which is the fact that Hillary Clinton and the Democrats denied the results of every election won by a Republican in the 21st century.
At a 2002 fundraiser for Democrat Senator Jean Carnahan, Clinton claimed the Supreme Court stole the 2000 election for George W. Bush.
“At a private fund-raiser in Los Angeles for Democratic Sen. Jean Carnahan of Missouri, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton told the crowd that President Bush merely had been ‘selected’ president, not elected, Newsweek reports in the current issue,” Newsweek reported.
And in 2009 when Clinton served as secretary of state, Clinton attacked American democracy while on foreign soil in Nairobi falsely claiming that Jeb Bush serving as governor of Florida helped George W. Bush steal the presidency in 2000.
“In 2000, our presidential election came down to one state where the brother of the man running for President was the governor of the state. So we have our problems too,” Clinton declared.
After George W. Bush won re-election in 2004 Clinton spoke on the Senate floor pushing deranged conspiracy theories about a rigged election pushing voter suppression in the pivotal state of Ohio.
Most famously Clinton invented the Russian collusion hoax and continued pushing election lies that the Russians and Donald Trump colluded to rob her of the 2016 presidential election.
“No, it doesn’t kill me because he knows he’s an illegitimate president,” Clinton said in 2019. “I believe he understands that the many varying tactics they used, from voter suppression and voter purging to hacking to the false stories — he knows that — there were just a bunch of different reasons why the election turned out like it did.”
And finally, Clinton isn’t even waiting for the next election to question the legitimacy of a GOP win by ranting last month that Republicans would steal the presidency in 2024.
“I know we’re all focused on the 2022 midterm elections, and they are incredibly important, but we also have to look ahead because, you know what, our opponents certainly are. Right-wing extremists already have a plan to literally steal the next presidential election, and they’re not making a secret of it,” Clinton declared.
Polls show the Democrats’ argument that “election deniers” like Kari Lake represent a threat to democracy fell flat because voters know that Hillary Clinton and the rest of the Democrat Party are the original election deniers.
