Fox News is under fire from the Democrats and liberal media critics.
Forces on the left want to silence Fox’s biggest stars because they think if they can muzzle pro-Trump voices in the media, it will be easier to defeat the President this November.
Fox News got hit with one leak that could force them to fire two popular hosts.
This past June, top Fox News network executives hosted a conference call with minority staff members after a graphic appeared on “Special Report with Bret Baier” claiming that the stock market rose in the wake of the killings of black men.
Baier apologized for the graphic, but The Daily Beast published an exclusive story about the call where some staffers complained about the treatment of blacks in Fox News’s coverage.
One incident mentioned was a Laura Ingraham monologue where Ingraham criticized the radical Black Lives Matter movement and stated,“We will remember those who desert their colors.”
Fox News executives eventually determined that Ingraham was merely using a common military expression.
The Daily Beast exclusively reported that “A complaint to corporate executives prompted an HR investigation into how Ingraham’s segment was conceived and made it to air, which ultimately cleared Ingraham and her team of racist intent in deploying the loaded phrase. Marsheila J. Hayes, the Black HR official who also led the June 9 call, was detailed to explain that the phrase was not racist at all. It was simply a historical military reference, said Hayes.”
The Daily Beast also reported that as Ingraham and Tucker Carlson’s coverage of the Black Lives Matter riots became more critical, some minority Fox News staffers rebelled.
“Over the past month, the network’s Black employees, including on-air talent, have begun to openly confront management over Fox’s anti-Black rhetoric—especially that of the network’s biggest stars, Laura Ingraham and Tucker Carlson,” The Daily Beast added.
The Daily Beast spoke to one source that claimed Carlson spewed “white supremacist” crap and that President Trump would repeat Carlson’s supposedly “racist” language.
In the story,The Daily Beast also exclusively reported:
“Bull. Shit. They have the script written that gives them an out,” one Fox staffer told The Daily Beast. “But what the viewers hear is the white supremacist crap. And that crap goes straight to the White House.”
The intention of this leak was clear.
Carlson is on vacation after fake news CNN broke the story that the lead writer on Carlson’s show, Blake Neff, posted racist comments on an anonymous online message board.
The Daily Beast reported that Fox News CEO Lachlan Murdoch signed off on Carlson’s apology that the left attacked because Carlson didn’t confess to being a racist and grovel for forgiveness.
All of this is designed to make Murdoch look bad so he feels heat and believes the only way he can redeem himself in the eyes of his peers in the corporate and media elite is to fire Carlson and Ingraham.
The left wants all pro-Trump voices in the media silenced.
That way, the left can control the flow of information about the election to the American people, and if the left controls what information Americans have access to, it can control the outcome of the presidential contest.
