Democrats thought forcing Donald Trump to submit to a mug shot would be checkmate in the 2024 election.
Liberals did not realize how wrong they turned out to be.
And all hell broke loose when Donald Trump posted his mug shot.
Democrat Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’s plan to interfere in the 2024 election included forcing Trump to pose for a mug shot so Joe Biden could use the image in campaign commercials next year.
Willis’s charges strained legal and constitutional bounds.
Under the doctrine Willis used to indict Trump and his lawyers any candidate and their lawyers can now face criminal charges if they challenge an election based on legal advice in a jurisdiction with a vindictive Democrat prosecutor.
A lawyer’s job is to defend their client and it’s up to judges and juries to decide if the legal theory put forward passes the smell test.
But Willis is also advancing the longstanding Democrat Party goal of criminalizing opposition to their agenda.
That’s why liberals support online censorship and so-called “hate speech” laws.
Not even hardcore Democrat partisan and George Soros-backed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg forced Trump to take a mug shot.
But Willis proceeded anyway because of all the Democrat prosecutors indicting Trump, Willis is the only one openly flaunting the idea that her criminal case is a political act designed to help Joe Biden win re-election.
Trump got the better of Willis, however.
The 45th president broke the internet by returning to Twitter by posting his mug shot on the app with a caption of “Never Surrender!”

Trump’s mug shot instantly became the most famous photo in American history surpassing the image of Jack Ruby killing Lee Harvey Oswald, JFK Jr. saluting his dad’s casket or the sailor kissing his girlfriend in Times Square following the end of World War 2.
The picture became a rallying cry for Trump’s campaign and a way for his supporters to stick it to the Democrat Party ruling class.
Liberals were furious.
Media outlets freely admitted the purpose of the mug shot was to humiliate Trump.

The mug shot was supposed to serve as a source of shame that would allow news anchors to somberly intone about how Donald Trump was now the first president to suffer such an indignity.
Instead, the mug shot turned into a public relations coup that allowed Trump to dominate the news cycle and once again demonstrate how the Democrat Party weaponized the justice system to destroy their number-one political rival.
