Donald Trump has yet to concede defeat in the presidential race.
The President’s campaign is still making its case in court that Joe Biden is only leading because of widespread voter fraud.
And now Donald Trump made this surprising admission about losing the election.
President Trump appeared in the Rose Garden to make his first public remarks since the Thursday after the election.
The President wanted to update the American people on the historic achievement his administration noted with Operation: Warp Speed producing an effective coronavirus vaccine before the end of 2020, which would be months ahead of schedule from when all the so-called “experts” thought a vaccine would begin to come online for the American people.
“Millions of doses will soon be going out the door. They are already, waiting for that final approval,” the President stated. “As soon as April, the vaccine will be available to the entire general population, with the exceptions of places like New York state.”
President Trump also took the time to assure the American people that even though cases were rising the Trump administration “will not do a lockdown” of the country.
The President said this was not necessary because the administration and the medical community learned so much about treating the disease compared to last March and that the survival rate – according to the Centers for Disease Control – was 99.984%.
Lockdowns are also failures that may kill more Americans than the coronavirus because of increased suicides, alcohol and drug abuse and the fact that Americans go without cancer screenings or other medical checkups because hospitals are closed for elective surgeries.
President Trump began discussing what will happen in the spring almost compared his opposition to lockdown to what Trump nearly described as the incoming Biden administration and the growing support in that crew for a national lockdown.
“Hopefully whatever happens in the future — who knows which administration it will be? I guess time will tell — but I can tell you this administration will not go to a lockdown,” President Trump added. “Lockdowns cost lives, and they cause a lot of problems. The cure cannot be — you’ve got to remember, cannot be worse than the problem itself.”
In the past, Joe Biden said he would support a national lockdown if that was what the scientists recommended.
One of Biden’s chief coronavirus task force members, Dr. Michael Osterholm, gave multiple interviews in recent days expressing strong support for a four to six week national lockdown.
Biden’s coronavirus task force is filled with other lockdown fanatics and it is a good bet that if Biden takes office next January 20, they will present him with a recommendation to lock the country down.
Since Biden has not explicitly ruled out a lockdown, the odds strongly favor Biden going along with a lockdown that could provide the kill shot to the health of the economy and plunge America into a second Great Depression.
