Donald Trump and Fox News Channel are locked in a feud.
Fox News turned on Trump and Trump is not happy.
And now Donald Trump revealed the one silver bullet that could bring down Fox News.
Donald Trump has not appeared on Fox News Channel’s air since last September.
Donald Trump Jr. also has not appeared on Fox News programming in months.
Reporters later revealed Fox News put a soft ban on Trump to keep him off the air following the midterm elections.
Fox News founder Rupert Murdoch reportedly informed Trump that Fox News — nor the Wall Street Journal nor the New York Post, both of which Murdoch also owns — would not back Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign.
Fox News is firmly in the corner of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis who many conservatives believe will support Trump’s “America First” agenda while also standing a stronger chance of defeating Joe Biden in a general election.
Donald Trump is so angry with Fox News that Trump is even willing to give advice to CNN.
In a post on Truth Social Trump claimed if CNN would drop its knee-jerk opposition to Trump and just cover him fairly CNN would displace Fox News as the top-rated cable news network.
“If they ever went for ‘Trump,’ they would take over from FoxNews. Otherwise, they will NEVER make it!” Trump wrote.
CNN ratings continue to sink to embarrassing lows.
For the week of February 27 CNN drew an average of a paltry 530,000 viewers in primetime.
CNN finished No. 14 in total primetime viewers for the third consecutive week, drawing a 530,000 total viewer average, and moved one spot up to No. 4 in total day viewing with a 446,000 viewer average. CNN fell to No. 27 from No. 24 in primetime Adults 25-54, posting a 105,000 viewer average in the daypart. The network dropped three spots to No. 16 in the total day demo, averaging 84,000 viewers from the measurement this past week.
CNN’s viewership was down 71 percent year over year from this time in 2022 and sunk a shocking 83 percent in the key 25-54 demographic that networks use to set ad rates.
Adweek also reports:
CNN traditionally sees the sharpest growth during major news event, and the steepest decline when the news cycle is quieter. Without a major breaking news event to cover this past week (ie. the early days of the Russia-Ukraine war/Biden’s SOTU), CNN saw steeper year-over-year losses than its competition. The network dropped -71% in total primetime viewers, -83% among A25-54 in primetime, -62% in total day total viewers and -75% among A25-54 watching across total day vs. the year-ago week.
CNN is paying the price for years of lies, hoaxes, conspiracy theories, and fake news about Donald Trump.
Disgraced former CNN network president Jeff Zucker turned CNN into an anti-Trump rapid response operation working on behalf of the Democrat Party.
That strategy completely alienated Republicans, but it generated a sugar high in ratings so long as Trump was in office.
But without Trump in office even liberal viewers could see that CNN stopped reporting the news, and without the central character in the story — Donald Trump — around, viewers tuned out.
