Donald Trump claimed there was voter fraud in the 2020 election.
The media called Trump a liar.
But Donald Trump could not believe what this swing state reported about voter fraud.
Donald Trump focused many of his allegations of voter fraud on Fulton County, Georgia.
However, the media claimed Trump could never substantiate his claims.
That changed in recent days when reports surfaced that election officials double-scanned 200 votes.
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger declared it was time to fire incompetent Fulton County election officials.
“Fulton County’s continued failures have gone on long enough with no accountability,” Raffensperger posted on Twitter. “Rick Barron and Ralph Jones, Fulton’s registration chief, must be fired and removed from Fulton’s elections leadership immediately. Fulton’s voters and the people of Georgia deserve better.”
In an interview with The Daily Caller, Raffensperger claimed Fulton County elections were a mess for too long.
“Every time we think we’ve reached the peak of Fulton’s elections mismanagement issues, more comes to light,” Raffensperger stated. “I’ve been calling for change in Fulton since day one. Maintaining public confidence in our elections begins in Fulton County.”
Raffensperger told The Daily Caller that Georgia’s new election integrity law provided the ability to remove poorly performing election officials.
Though liberals falsely claimed it would allow Trump supporters to install compliant lackeys that would overturn election results.
Raffensperger claimed the nonsense in Fulton County was why the law was necessary.
“Now, with SB202, the State Election Board has the authority to make that happen,” he added. “If Fulton County doesn’t take action to clean their own house, then I reiterate my call that the State Election Board should use their new authority to clean it for them,” Raffensperger added.
The duplicated ballots added 27 votes to Joe Biden’s total.
While it was not enough to change the result, it was fraud that benefited Biden and hurt Trump nonetheless.
Raffensperger is a figure of great controversy among Trump supporters.
The Georgia secretary of state repeatedly claimed the election in Georgia was safe and secure.
Trump supporters also believe Raffensperger leaked the contents of a recorded phone call with Trump to the Washington Post where Trump implored Raffensperger to investigate voter fraud.
A story appeared in the Washington Post 48 hours before two critical Senate runoffs that Democrats ended up winning in close races handing Chuck Schumer the position of majority leader.
Many Trump supporters believed Raffensperger – or one of his allies – leaked the call as payback against Trump for Trump’s claims of widespread fraud in Georgia during the 2020 election.
Raffensperger drew a strong line on this case to try and get back in the good graces of Trump supporters because Raffensperger is running for re-election in 2022 and Donald Trump’s endorsed his opponent.
But no matter how that race turns out, there was some level of fraud in the 2020 election, and even one illegal vote is one too many.
