Joe Biden got some bad news.
Biden’s plan to utilize lawfare to win the 2024 election just took a major hit.
And that’s because Donald Trump blindsided Joe Biden with one courtroom curveball that will have everyone talking.
Joe Biden prosecutor Jack Smith is set to take Donald Trump to trial in Florida on the bogus charges in relation to the Mar-a-Lago document dispute starting May 20, 2024.
But Smith is also slated to begin his sham trial in D.C. over Trump contesting the 2020 election on March 4, 2024.
That trial – which looks like a kangaroo court featuring a Trump-hating Obama judge and a jury picked from a pool of D.C. residents, of which 95 percent voted against Trump – is estimated to run for two months.
Smith’s maniacal desire to rush Trump to trial – the average federal case takes between one and three years to go to trial after charges are brought – is born out of the fact that Smith is working on Joe Biden’s political calendar.
Biden is trailing Trump in the polls and since Smith essentially works for Biden, Smith knows he needs a conviction against Trump before the 2024 election.
Stacking the two trials on top of one another ensures Smith’s best chance of coming through for the Democrat Party.
But piling these trials up one on top of another also violates Donald Trump’s constitutional right to a fair trial by depriving him of the right to prepare adequate legal defense.
And Trump’s lawyers, Christopher Kise and Todd Blanche, filed a motion with Judge Aileen Cannon to delay the Mar-a-Lago document case until at least mid-November of 2024 due to the fact that Smith’s team is stonewalling on turning over classified evidence and the fact that they can’t be in two places at once with the D.C. and Florida trials running up against each other on the calendar.
“The March 4, 2023 trial date in the District of Columbia, and the underlying schedule in that case, currently require President Trump and his lawyers to be in two places at once,” Trump’s attorneys argued.
Smith’s prosecutors baselessly claimed that a delay “threatens to upend the entire schedule established by the Court and that amounts to a motion to continue the May 20, 2024 trial date.”
Jack Smith has a history of abusive and unconstitutional prosecutions of Republicans looking to run for president.
The Supreme Court unanimously threw out Smith’s corruption conviction against former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell as even the liberal justices ruled against Smith’s trial to criminalize ordinary political behavior.
But that vindication came too late as Smith’s conviction of McDonnell destroyed any chance McDonnell had of running for president in 2016.
Now it appears Smith is running the same game to use the legal system to achieve the Democrat Party’s political goals and take down the top Republican presidential contender.
The ball is now in Judge Cannon’s court.
