Joe Biden’s political standing collapsed under the weight of the incompetently executed withdrawal from Afghanistan.
But the worst was yet to come.
And all hell broke loose when the Pentagon just rebelled against Joe Biden.
Joe Biden lost control of the narrative surrounding his presidency after his administration admitted they did not know how many Americans they deserted behind Taliban lines and that there was no plan to rescue them, as Joe Biden and his handlers scrambled to salvage Biden’s political viability.
The solution was a high-risk gamble to put Biden out in front of the press to make it look like Biden had command of the facts and the situation.
But even providing a net in the form of preapproved questioners and questions, Biden still bombed out.
And Biden’s confused and bizarre press conference where a clearly forgetful and declining Biden could not remember what he said weeks ago and told numerous falsehoods proved to cause a breaking point for many of his allies.
One of the many whoppers Biden told was the claim that the Taliban allowed American citizens safe passage to the Kabul Airport where they could board military planes for evacuation to America.
“We have no indication that they haven’t been able to get in Kabul, through the airport,” Biden said of the American citizens his administration abandoned to fend for themselves.
“To the best of our knowledge, the Taliban checkpoints, they are letting through people showing American passports,” Biden added.
Within hours Biden’s top Pentagon leaders rushed to the press and Congress to call Biden a liar.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby contradicted Biden’s claim the Taliban let Americans travel freely to the airport.
“I would also note, though … that though there have been sporadic reports of some Americans not being able to get through checkpoints — I fully admit that — by and large, what we’ve been seeing is that Americans are able to get through those checkpoints, and are able to get onto the airfield,” Kirby stated.
Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin informed members of Congress on a briefing call that the Taliban beat Americans in the street if they tried to travel to the airport.
“We are also aware that some people, including Americans, have been harassed and even beaten by the Taliban. This is unacceptable and [we] made it clear to the designated Taliban leader,” Austin told members of Congress.
Americans on the ground also undercut the fable of tranquility and peace Biden tried to spin at his disastrous press conference.
An American teacher told ABC he could not reach the airport because the Taliban would not let anyone through their checkpoints even with a valid passport.

Even anti-Trump reporters like Fox News correspondent Jennifer Griffin ridiculed Biden on TV.
“I am having a hard time digesting what we heard because I couldn’t fact check it fast enough in real-time, because there were so many misrepresentations of what is happening on the ground,” Griffin stated.
It’s hard to tell if Biden is lying or just in the throes of cognitive decline and can’t process his briefings or just can’t remember them when he speaks.
But the sight of the president of the United States babbling nonsense while suffering through a confused fog of cognitive decline and then being contradicted by his underlings leads to uncomfortable questions about who exactly is in charge of the country during a humiliating military defeat and crisis that threatens the lives of thousands of American citizens.
