Democrats have been on a search-and-destroy mission against Clarence Thomas for three decades.
It’s now reaching a fever pitch.
And Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez revealed this jaw-dropping plan to impeach Clarence Thomas.
Liberals want to destroy Clarence Thomas because Thomas is the leader of the Supreme Court’s conservative majority.
Democrats seethed with rage after Thomas led the Court to overturn Roe v. Wade and end nationwide abortion on demand.
The left found their chance for revenge when the left-wing outlet ProPublica published a hit piece smearing Thomas for supposedly not reporting personal trips to stay with conservative billionaire Harlan Crow on his financial disclosure form.
When Thomas joined the Court it was not required that justices report personal hospitality as gifts and it is an open question if that is true today.
But leftists seized on the piece — which is why ProPublica published it in the first place — to call for Clarence Thomas’s impeachment.
During an interview on the Lever Time podcast New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez declared that she would draft articles of impeachment against Justice Thomas if no one else would.
“Congress is out of session for the next week. And so that does give Democrats some time to strategize, and the way I feel about it is that, I do think articles need to be introduced,” Ocasio-Cortez declared.
“If we decide strategically that the actual author of those articles and who introduces them may not be me, that’s fine, I will support impeachment. But I just think that if no one’s going to introduce it, I would certainly be open to doing so and drafting them myself,” Ocasio-Cortez stated, adding that, “I think this has gone far, far beyond any sort of acceptable standard in any democracy, let alone an American democracy.”
Ocasio-Cortez’s fellow squad members Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ilhan Omar (D-MN) also demanded Thomas’s impeachment.
“Public trust in the Supreme Court is at an all time low and Justice Thomas has secretly accepted luxury trips from a billionaire mega-donor while doing the bidding of right-wing extremists from the bench. Thomas must be impeached and SCOTUS needs a binding code of ethics,” Tlaib wrote on social media.
“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Clarence Thomas needs to be impeached,” Omar posted on Twitter.
This story is another example of a manufactured media scandal.
ProPublica did not do reporting to see if liberal justices accepted personal hospitality trips and never reported them.
And experts called into question the idea that Thomas did anything wrong in the first place.

Ethics experts and court transparency advocates said Thursday that until the change in the regulations in March, the exemption for “personal hospitality” was ambiguous and Thomas arguably did not have to publicly disclose the free flights on Crow’s private jet or his regular stays at Crow’s luxury retreat in the Adirondacks.
“Justice Thomas could plausibly claim, and I think has claimed (as have others) that so long as an invitation itself came from a ‘person,’ not a corporation or business entity, it was ‘personal hospitality’ and he did not need to report it,” Stephen Gillers, a legal ethics expert at NYU School of Law, wrote in an email.
But Democrats hated Clarence Thomas from the moment President George H.W. Bush nominated him to the Supreme Court because Thomas is a black conservative that would vote to overturn Roe v. Wade.
And the left spent over 30 years trying to destroy Thomas for that reason.
