Democrats continue to show their radical disdain for the Constitution and the rule of law.
Now Joe Biden is on the spot.
And that’s because Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez hit Joe Biden with one ultimatum to break the law.
Democrats fumed after U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk suspended the FDA’s approval of the abortion-inducing drug mifepristone which will halt its sale nationwide.
For the last two weeks Democrats waxed poetically about Soros-backed prosecutor Alvin Bragg indicting Donald Trump on politically motivated charges as an example of the rule of law in America.
If it wasn’t obvious enough to Americans that Democrats live by the saying made famous by Peru President Oscar R. Benavides, “for my friends everything, for my enemies, the law,” it was driven home with the left’s contrasting reaction to Judge Kacsmaryk’s ruling.
Joe Biden promised to fight the ruling.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had some demands for how Biden should fight the ruling and none of them align with the Democrats’ supposed reverence for the rule of law.
During an interview with fake news CNN left-wing activist Anderson Cooper, Ocasio-Cortez demanded Biden act like a rogue and lawless third-world dictator and simply ignore the court ruling while pushing ahead with approving abortion-inducing drugs.
“And so there has been thought I believe given to this. Senator Ron Wyden has already issued statements, for example, advising what we should do in situations like this, which I concur, which is that I believe that the Biden administration should ignore this ruling,” Ocasio-Cortez declared.
Ocasio-Cortez said the court’s legitimacy is dependent on leaders and citizens accepting their ruling and that when Democrats lost a decision it constituted an attack on democracy, so it was OK for Biden to ignore the judge’s decision.
“I think that we, you know, the Courts have the legitimacy, and they rely on the legitimacy of their rulings. And what they are currently doing is engaged in an unprecedented and dramatic erosion of the legitimacy of the Courts,” Ocasio-Cortez added.
“It is the Justices themselves through the deeply partisan and unfounded nature of these rulings that are undermining their own enforcement,” Ocasio-Cortez continued.
The idea of Joe Biden picking and choosing which court rulings he would abide by made even a Democrat Party propagandist like Cooper queasy who followed up by asking what that would look like.
Ocasio-Cortez explained that Biden needed to sit down with his FDA chief and figure out what defying a federal judge’s ruling would look like.
The New York congresswoman told Cooper that it was OK to ignore the ruling of any judge Joe Biden didn’t appoint because conservative justices lacked any professional or institutional legitimacy so Biden was well within his rights to flout a ruling that did not line up with his political agenda.
“But on the other hand, what we are also seeing is a power grab over our Courts in which the laws passed by Congress, and the rules and policies passed by the executive branch now are going to require unanimous consent from 650 District Court Judges, many of which are appointed with even, you know, the American Bar Association, saying that they are completely unfit for the role,” Ocasio-Cortez concluded.
Democrats do not believe in democracy, the legitimacy of institutions, or the rule of law.
Liberals — such as Ocasio-Cortez and Biden — show on a weekly basis that they are a gang that believes in wielding power by any means necessary and that any talking points or principles can be bent or amended to fit whatever situation they face.
