Nancy Pelosi created the kangaroo court January 6 Select Committee for the express purpose of concocting criminal charges against Donald Trump.
Pelosi then loaded up the committee with Trump-haters like Adam Schiff to stack the deck in her favor.
And now Adam Schiff just revealed what crimes Joe Biden will charge Donald Trump with.
Congress does not have the power to conduct criminal inquiries.
That’s why the January 6 committee falsely claimed their investigation had a legislative purpose.
But the committee dropped that mask and admitted the committee’s true purpose is manufacturing the pretense of a crime so Joe Biden’s Justice Department can indict Donald Trump and kick him off the 2024 ballot.
The committee revealed its avenue to false charges against Trump stems from investigating conservative lawyer John Eastman.
Eastman authored a memo claiming Mike Pence could reject certified Electoral College results on January 6.
Eastman argued he should not have to turn over certain records to the committee because he was acting as Trump’s lawyer.
In a court filing the committee claimed attorney-client privilege did not exist because Trump and Eastman were part of a criminal conspiracy to overturn the election results.
“[E]vidence and information available to the Committee established a good-faith belief that Mr. Trump and others may have engaged in criminal and/or fraudulent acts, and that [Eastman’s] legal assistance was used in furtherance of those activities,” the filing claims.
The committee argued Trump and Eastman pressured Pence to act on January 6 based on supposedly false claims of voter fraud.
“The President and [Eastman] engaged in an extensive public and private campaign to convince the Vice President to reject certain Biden electors or delay the proceedings, without basis, so that the President and his associates would have additional time to manipulate the results. Had this effort succeeded, the electoral count would have been obstructed, impeded, influenced, and (at the very least) delayed, all without any genuine legal justification and based on the false pretense that the election had been stolen. There is no genuine question that the President and Plaintiff attempted to accomplish this specific illegal result,” the court filing continued.
The committee also claimed Trump knew he legitimately lost the 2020 election and plowed ahead anyway which they claim created criminal intent.
“The evidence supports an inference that President Trump and members of his campaign knew he had not won enough legitimate state electoral votes to be declared the winner of the 2020 Presidential election during the January 6 Joint Session of Congress, but the President nevertheless sought to use the Vice President to manipulate the results in his favor…Thus, even if the Vice President had authority to reject certified electoral certificates (and he did not), there was no valid lawful basis to do so,” the committee also argued.
The committee then claimed Joe Biden could criminally charge Trump, Eastman and anyone else that questioned the results of the 2020 election with attempt to defraud the United States.
“The evidence supports an inference that President Trump, [Eastman], and several others entered into an agreement to defraud the United States by interfering with the election certification process, disseminating false information about election fraud, and pressuring state officials to alter state election results and federal officials to assist in that effort,” the filing read.
As Joe Biden’s poll numbers hit record lows Democrats’ panic increased about Trump running and winning in 2024.
Now it looks like the hyper-partisan January 6 committee – led by Adam Schiff – is reaching for the “break glass in case of emergency” tool of fabricated criminal charges that Joe Biden’s extremely political and biased Department of Justice can use against Donald Trump.
