Controversial business deals continue to plague the Biden family.
More bombshells continue to leak out.
A smoking gun $100,000 payment from the FBI director is bad news for Joe Biden.
Hunter Biden’s laptop continues to provide a bonanza of emails that make the Biden family look very swampy and cast doubt on Joe Biden’s claims he never discussed Hunter Biden’s business dealings with his son.
The latest leak came when the Daily Mail reported that Hunter Biden’s laptop contained email messages from former FBI Director Louis Freeh.
Freeh reportedly messaged about a meeting he had with Joe Biden in 2016 to discuss a business deal after Joe Biden left office.
“I also spoke to Dad a few weeks ago and would like to explore with him some future work options,” Freeh wrote. “I believe that working together on these (and other legal) matters would be of value, fun and rewarding.”
At the time, Freeh was working on behalf of three foreign businessmen who were later convicted on corruption charges.
Freeh was never charged with any wrongdoing nor was Freeh even accused of any improper behavior.
But Freeh messaged Hunter that he would like to discuss getting into business with the family.
“I would like to talk with you and Dad about working together next year,” Freeh wrote.
Freeh then went on to describe how his current client base may be a good starting point for a joint venture.
The Daily Mail reports:
‘No doubt both he and you have many options and probably some which are more attractive than my small shop.
‘As you know, we have both a law firm and ‘solutions/investigations’ group with a very good brand, DC and DEL (and NYC) offices, and a profitable and interesting global practice (eg., I’m currently representing the Malaysian PM and his family).
‘So if it’s something which interests you both, let’s talk about it at some point. I’m very flexible and we could set it up as an equity-share or whatever works best. It would certainly be an honor to work with you both.’
Freeh also wrote to Hunter Biden about the $100,000 payment to the family trust for Joe Biden’s grandchildren.
Free explained that the donation—which originally came from his foundation—needed to be reimbursed so Freeh could pay out of his own pocket because it did not meet certain standards to be a proper foundation gift.
‘As you know, our family foundation made a $100K contribution to Hallie’s children’s trust last year,’ Freeh wrote in an April 2017 email.
‘My accountants (PWC) now advise that since the grant did not go to a 501(c) organization [a charity], it was not a proper foundation gift.
‘So we’ve been in touch with the IRS and PWC and want to correct the situation as follows: I’ll make a new $100k gift to Haley’s trust, and Hallie’s trust will reimburse the foundation by paying it $100k.
“Thanks so much and of course no burden at all. Speak to you soon. Hunter.” Hunter Biden wrote back.
Joe Biden claimed he’s never discussed Hunter Biden’s business dealings with his son.
These emails make that denial hard to believe.
