The impeachment witch hunt could be Speaker Pelosi’s final act.
And you won’t believe who just said Nancy Pelosi will be out of Congress next year.
President Trump spoke with reporters at his Mar-a-Lago resort.
The fake news media only wanted to get the President’s thoughts on Speaker Pelosi trying to make a power move by withholding the articles of impeachment in an attempt to blackmail the Republican Senate into letting the Democrats run the impeachment trial.
President Trump dismissed this stunt noting even fake news CNN polls showed him tied or leading every major Democrat rival in the 15 battleground states.
The President also repeated the simple truth that as much as Pelosi and the Democrats hated the President, Pelosi’s true target of hatred was the nearly 63 million Americans that put Donald Trump in the White House.
“All I know is my poll numbers are the highest they’ve ever been,” Trump told the press. “Our fundraising in the Republican Party is the highest it’s ever been. She hates the Republican Party. She hates all of the people that voted for me and the Republican Party.”
The President also made note of the fact that Pelosi knows she is playing a losing hand.
Donald Trump compared this fiasco to when Democrats rammed Obamacare into law back in 2010 and the American people responded by firing Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House.
“She’s desperate,” President Trump added. “Look, she got thrown out as speaker once before. She lost like 63 seats, 61 or 63, tremendous, record-setting number of seats.”
President Trump went on to predict that Pelosi biting the bullet on impeachment would offend the American people and cause them to vote Pelosi out of power next November.
“I think it’s going to happen again,” President Trump declared. “She’s doing a tremendous disservice to the country. She’s not doing a good job.”
If Democrats lose the majority next November, the knives will be out for Pelosi.
Pelosi survived repeated trouncing in the 2010, 2014 and 2016 elections because her ability to fundraise bought a deep well of loyalty in the Democrat caucus.
But younger, socialist backbenchers like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have built their own power bases separate from Pelosi.
The two feuded this summer over what Ocasio-Cortez saw as Pelosi’s surrender to Trump on key issues.
If Republicans win the majority in 2020, Ocasio-Cortez and her fellow anti-Pelosi socialists could seize on the moment to say Pelosi used up her mulligan and this defeat calls for new leadership.
In the event that Pelosi faces a strong leadership challenge from a candidate backed by Ocasio-Cortez and the party’s grassroots base, the strong likelihood would be that Pelosi would call it quits rather than lose a contested leadership race.
