Joe Biden is openly failing to uphold America’s laws in a vital way.
Shocking numbers show just bad the problem is.
You won’t believe why this top Republican is calling for Biden’s impeachment.
When former President Donald Trump left office, he left behind him a southern border that was more secure than it had been in decades, a wall that was being built and anImmigration and Customs Enforcement that was focused on its mission to stop “cross-border crime and illegal immigration.”
The second that President Joe Biden took office everything changed.
During the campaign he promised mass amnesty to all illegal immigrants, that he’d halt deportations and stop “prosecuting adult asylum seekers for misdemeanor illegal entry.”
The massive waves of immigration are the predictable result of Biden’s failure to uphold American law.
Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) said that Biden and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas should both be impeached on Monday, for their failures to stem the border crisis.
“Total encounters: 205,029. Total known gotaways: 37,400,” Roy tweeted. “1.3 million for [Fiscal Year] 21 so far. Largest monthly encounter number since 2000.”
While the numbers are preliminary it appears that it is the largest number ever recorded by DHS since it was founded in 2002.
“What Joe Biden is doing at our border is impeachable,” Jesse Kelly, a political commentator, responded. “It’s more impeachable than Watergate. This is an attack on the sovereignty of America and it’s coming from the Oval Office. Republicans should move to impeach after 2022.”
Roy responded to Kelly’s tweet by writing: “Co-sponsor. #ImpeachBiden #ImpeachMayorkas”
“Over the past several months, President Biden and Sec. Mayorkas have blatantly and consistently refused to do their constitutional duty to take care that the immigration laws be faithfully executed, as required by Article II, endangering countless American and foreign lives in the process.”
A reporter for the Washington Post agreed with the numbers Roy tweeted, writing “210,000+ migrants taken into custody last month, per govt estimates. That’s IN JULY.”
Yet in a hearing last week,Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas claimed that the numbers were exaggerated.
“It’s very important to remember that the number of apprehensions, the number of encounters does not equal the number of different individuals encountered … they often return and are expelled again.”
“Are you saying there has not been a dramatic surge in border crossings and unaccompanied children during your tenure, a historic surge?” Senator Josh Hawley asked. “Is that your position?”
“That is not my position,” Mayorkas replied. “What I am saying is that the number of encounters and apprehensions does not equal the number of different individuals apprehended.”
Mayorkas then tried to claim that COVID was responsible for the high amounts of illegal immigration.
Hawley retorted, “This crisis has occurred under your tenure. COVID is not unique to your tenure. This is a crisis that you have engineered with your policies.”
