Election Day 2022 saw a fair amount of chaos in one key state.
Once again Americans were left frustrated with incompetent election administration.
And you won’t believe who is about to get arrested over what happened on Election Day.
Arizona was the site of an Election Day meltdown.
Voting machine tabulators broke in 48 percent of Maricopa County – the state’s most populous county – due to an error with printers.
Election administrators in Maricopa County – Board of Supervisors head Bill Gates and Recorder Stephen Richer – involved in political activism to defeat Trump-endorsed candidates like gubernatorial nominee Kari Lake only added to the suspicion that something foul was afoot.
While the evidence points to simple incompetence, partisan election administrators only serve to decrease voters’ confidence in elections.
Kari Lake appeared on Charlie Kirk’s podcast and blasted Arizona Democrats – led by Secretary of State and Lake’s opponent in the 2022 election Katie Hobbs – threatening officials in conservative Cochise County for refusing to vote to certify the election until they receive satisfactory answers about what happened in Maricopa County on Election Day.
“I know in Cochise County, they’re threatening to not certify and they’ve got these, you know, dirty attorneys with the Democrat Party down there threatening them. And Katie Hobbs, the Secretary of State, is threatening them — threatening them to certify what they know to be a bad election because she wants to steal this,” Lake told Kirk.
“So she’s threatening Cochise County to certify. I wish that one person and one of these board of supervisors would stand up and say, ‘Then come on and arrest me. Bring it,’” she continued.
Kirk expressed his concern that police would arrest Cochise County officials for not certifying the election.
“I have to agree with you, but I also want to — who is the one threatening arrest and who would be the one actually administering the charging paperwork? I don’t understand this. I mean, is Katie Hobbs gonna go send troops out? Not troops, but like police officers?” Kirk responded.
Former Arizona Attorney General Terry Goddard wrote a letter to current Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich encouraging him to order law enforcement to arrest Cochise County officials.

Lake responded to Kirk by stating she did not think the sheriff of Cochise County would follow through on any orders to arrest officials delaying certification of the election.
“Well, the Sheriff’s Department,” Lake continued, “I don’t think the Sheriff’s Department in Mohave County would really arrest Ron Gould if he would’ve said, ‘No, I’m not going to certify this.’ And I don’t think the Sheriff’s Department run under Mark Dannels down in Cochise County, a true patriot, is going to arrest somebody who says, ‘I’m not gonna certify this because the election’s a mess.’”
Lake claimed Maricopa County disenfranchised hundreds of thousands of voters with broken voting machines that led to mass confusion on where voters could cast their ballots and if their votes would count.
“And hundreds of thousands potentially were disenfranchised. So I hope somebody somewhere — we need a few more people to step up and be incredibly courageous in this gap right now,” Lake declared.
