And now some really bad news just smacked Ilhan Omar like a freight train.
Allegations that Ilhan Omar committed immigration fraud by staging a sham marriage with her brother so he could obtain U.S. citizenship dogged Omar since she first ran for Congress in 2018.
Trump supporters wondered if the administration was going to investigate Omar for immigration fraud, which would allow Trump to denaturalize and deport Omar.
Podcaster Benny Johnson put that question to Vice President J.D. Vance, the chair of President Trump’s new anti-fraud task force.
The answer was ”yes” as Vance told Johnson the administration believes Omar committed immigration fraud.
“So we actually think that Ilhan Omar definitely committed immigration fraud against the United States of America,” Vance said.
Vance said the only remaining matter is deciding on the appropriate legal remedy.
“And I talked to [White House deputy chief of staff] Stephen Miller about this, actually, recently. We’re trying to look at what the remedies are. That’s the thing that we’re trying to figure out is what are the legal remedies now that we know that she’s committed immigration fraud? How do you go after her? How do you investigate her? How do you actually do the thing? How do you build the case necessary to get some justice for the American people? There’s a related issue, Benny, which is she has been at the center of a lot of the worst fraudsters in the Somali community,” Vance added.

Ilhan Omar married her alleged brother, Ahmed Elmi, in a 2009 civil ceremony.
Omar engaged in this marriage despite marrying Ahmed Abdisalan Hirsi in 2002 in an Islamic ceremony.
Omar and Elmi split in 2011, and Omar married Hirsi again in 2018 before divocing him to marry Democrat Party political consultant Tim Mynett.
Since marrying Mynett, Omar’s net worth has skyrocketed 3,500%, a development so disturbing that even the Biden administration launched an investigation.
