Democrats spent years looking for a way to cancel Tucker Carlson and muzzle Fox News Channel.
Now Democrats believe Russia’s invasion of Ukraine opened up an avenue for censorship of Tucker Carlson.
And Tucker Carlson revealed Joe Biden can take him off the air for one scary reason.
When Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine, Democrats looked to find a way to exploit it for political advantage.
Critics contend Joe Biden’s disastrously executed withdrawal from Afghanistan opened Putin’s eyes to Biden’s weakness and incompetence.
Democrats like California Congressman Eric Swalwell – who stands accused of engaging in a sexual relationship with a Communist Chinese spy – falsely claimed Carlson and Donald Trump rooted for Russia to win the war and smeared them for parroting Russian propaganda.
“We have Republicans who are rooting for Russia and that makes it very hard for President Biden to get the whole country to go along when Donald Trump, Mike Pompeo and Tucker Carlson are rooting for Russians and that’s being replayed on Russia TV to rally Russians for this cause,” Swalwell declared.
Liberal media outlets immediately picked up on that kind of talk and used it as a justification for Joe Biden to order cable companies to take Tucker Carlson and Fox News Channel off the air.
On his show, Tucker Carlson read an excerpt from Mother Jones magazine citing the precedent of media outlets censoring Russian state-owned media around the world as a chance for Biden to censor Carlson and Fox News.
“’Both RT and Sputnik air in the United States, too.’ Untrue, but whatever they don’t know. ‘Will Biden follow suit and crackdown on pro-Russia disinformation? If he does, U.S. cable companies will also need to scrutinize media outlets like Fox News, whose shows— Tucker Carlson’s in particular— have parodied pro-Russia talking points,’” Carlson told viewers.
But Tucker Carlson doesn’t support Vladimir Putin or Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
Carlson made that clear in a monologue during a broadcast of his show.
“In this country, virtually everyone understands that the invasion of Ukraine is bad. It’s bad for us and for the world and Vladimir Putin is bad too. So, effectively in America, those are settled facts. We can stop debating them,” Carlson stated.
The simple truth is Democrats do not tolerate free speech or dissent.
Starting when Big Tech platforms began deplatforming pro-Trump radio hots Alex Jones, liberals realized they could pressure their ideological allies in social media to silence anyone that criticized Democrats under the guise they spread so-called “hate speech,” “misinformation,” or “conspiracy theories.”
Now liberals think they can attack anyone they disagree with as Russian propagandists and cancel them.
And that is exactly what Mother Jones magazine is urging Joe Biden to do to Tucker Carlson.
