Donald Trump’s 2024 re-election campaign just got thrown into chaos.
The Democrats’ scheme to wage lawfare against Trump using Democrat prosecutors, judges and juries just paid off big time.
And that’s because a judge’s devastating ruling could force Trump to drop out of the 2024 race.
Barack Obama Judge Tanya Chutkan sided with her fellow Democrats in the Department of Justice and assisted Joe Biden’s plan to put Trump in jail before Election Day.
Chutkan set a trial date of March 4, 2024, – one day before the Super Tuesday primaries where the bulk of delegates are up for grabs – in anti-Trump special counsel Jack Smith’s case over Trump exercising his First Amendment rights to contest the 2020 election.
Despite the fact that Judge Chutkan admitted Smith’s prosecutors could not find one example of a federal case like this going to trial in five months’ time, Judge Chutkan rejected Donald Trump’s request to delay the trial until 2026.
The average length of time for a federal case to go to trial after the government brings charges is 15 to 18 months, which is more in line with the timeline Donald Trump and his lawyers requested.
The Obama judge showed her anti-Trump bias with her comments in the case.
Chutkan refused to delay the trial until after the election claiming Trump would be treated like anyone else in that they could not use their occupation to delay a trial date.
“If this case involved a professional athlete, it would be inappropriate to schedule a trial to accommodate her schedule,” Chutkan ranted. “Mr. Trump will be treated with no more or less deference than any other defendant.”
Trump’s lawyer John Lauro argued that a rushed trial date violated Donald Trump’s Sixth Amendment right to receive a fair trial as it crippled his ability to put together the best legal defense possible.
“Mr. Trump is not above the law, but he is not below the law,” Lauro stated. “This man’s liberty and life is at stake, and he deserves an adequate representation.”
Chutkan sneered that since Trump is rich it is okay to hand the Biden administration an uneven playing field in preparing their case.
“Let’s take the temperature down,” Chutkan roared. “I understand that you have a sacred job, but let’s not overlook the fact that Mr. Trump has considerable resources that not every defendant has.”
The Biden administration began the investigation into Trump in 2021.
Biden prosecutors had two years to prepare their case.
Donald Trump’s lawyers will have less than six months.
This is obviously unfair and unconstitutional.
But the point of this exercise isn’t fairness, it’s to stage trials that will keep Trump off the campaign trail – Trump will have to appear in court every day for a case that could take up to three months – and that are guaranteed to result in a conviction since Smith held this trial in the most Democrat-leaning city in America guaranteeing a jury of Trump haters who will vote to convict Trump no matter what.
A conviction could result in Donald Trump in a jail cell for Election Day.
And at that point the GOP establishment could maneuver at the convention to take the nomination away from Trump.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump pledged to appeal Chutkan’s ruling.
“Deranged Jack Smith & his team of Thugs, who were caught going to the White House just prior to Indicting the 45th President of the United States (an absolute No No!), have been working on this Witch Hunt for almost 3 years, but decided to bring it smack in the middle of Crooked Joe Biden’s Political Opponent’s campaign against him. Election Interference! Today a biased, Trump Hating Judge gave me only a two month extension, just what our corrupt government wanted, SUPER TUESDAY. I will APPEAL!” Trump wrote.
Democrats were thrilled with this development as they know they can count on Chutkan for favorable rulings throughout this case which is being carefully stage-managed to ensure Donald Trump stands no chance of winning an acquittal.
