During his time in Congress, there was nobody the left feared more than Trey Gowdy.
And since leaving, he has continued on in his fight to destroy them.
But you won’t believe the reason why he was just fired from his new job.
After being elected in 2010, Trey Gowdy made a name for himself as the toughest voice in Congress.
Coming in during the Tea Party wave of Republicans, he was ready to stir up trouble.
And he did just that.
Whenever any corrupt Democrat was put before his committee, he knew exactly how to get them to spill all the information they were trying to keep secret.
He did just that with Hillary Clinton, relating to Benghazi, and to deep state bureaucrats like James Comey and Peter Strzok.
But now he lives a much simpler life.
He is working for the very same law firm he worked at before he got into Congress.
And, until this week, he was also a contributor at Fox News.
But after Gowdy was tapped as an outside counsel to President Donald Trump in any potential impeachment inquiry, the so-called “conservative” news network fired him on the spot.
Gowdy’s position at Fox News was never to be an unbiased person.
He was brought onboard precisely so he could give his opinions.
So if Fox News wants to claim that his firing has something to do with avoiding biases, they are making complete lies.
If that was the case, they would have never hired Donna Brazile.
Brazile has been a long-time Clinton crony and a major player in Democrat politics.
She mirrors all of the opinions you would hear on fake news networks like CNN, and brings them to Fox News.
Fox News is clearly trying to back away from the things that made them successful, to begin with.
While CNN and other fake news networks have always hated conservatives and pushed as many lies as they could about them, Fox News was different.
The network was created to be an alternative, where conservative Americans could be represented, instead of attacked.
But that isn’t what they are today.
In fact, there are powerful anti-Trump figures on the board of Fox who are making sure that isn’t the case.
Former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan is on the board of Fox and has reportedly been demanding that the network no longer take any pro-Trump positions.
He believes they need to prepare for a post-Trump America.
Perhaps that is because he knows that his political career is dead as long as Trump is in office, and he is hoping the network is ready to promote him as soon as Trump is out of power.
It is likely calls from people like Ryan that is why Gowdy got fired.
Being too pro-Trump may now be a disqualifier at Fox News.
But at the time, it is clear that being too liberal isn’t, at least as long as they keep Brazile employed.
