Republicans are in a panic over the fallout from a border patrol agent fatally shooting a leftist agitator in Minnesota.
The media and Democrats portrayed the victim as a sweet and innocent ICU nurse gunned down for exercising his First Amendment right to protest.
It turned out the man was armed and violently resisted arrest.
Nevertheless, Democrats who desire to ban and confiscate all firearms in America now cloaked themselves in the Second Amendment, claiming that concealed carrying a firearm shouldn’t lead to a death sentence.
Even many on the right fell for this hoax.
Former Congressman Trey Gowdy attacked the Trump administration, claiming it was hypocritical for conservatives to make a hero out of Kyle Rittenhouse for shooing a Black Lives Matter rioter but demonize the leftist agitator out in Minnesota.
“I think what frustrates people is that you remember Kyle Rittenhouse and how he was made a hero on the right. I’m sure there are people on the conservative side who are saying ‘wait a minute, you mean you can’t take a firearm to a protest? Because you were just celebrating a guy for doing it a couple of years ago,” Gowdy declared.
“Alex Pretti’s firearm was lawfully being carried. It is lawful to carry a gun in Minnesota. He never brandished it. He didn’t point it at the cops,” Gowdy added.
There were serval difference.
Rittenhouse carried a firearm at a protest out of defense as a group of citizens sought to defend businesses in Kenosha, Wisconsin, after local Democrats allowed Black Lives Matter terrorists to burn them to the ground.
And Rittenhouse shot and killed a rioter, who turned out to be a pedophile, only after a mob attacked him and tried to murder him.
In the Minnesota shooting, the leftist was a member of a counterinsurgency group that was training their members in tactics to disrupt ICE arrests.

While the man was a concealed carry permit owner, he didn’t have his ID on him, which made a concealed weapon a crime.
The man also obstructed law enforcement and physically put his hands on them, which led to the confrontations that ended with his death.
