Trey Gowdy’s move to Fox News primetime host may not be the former South Carolina congressman’s final career switch.
Gowdy could be headed back to Washington.
And Trey Gowdy may take one new job that will leave you speechless.
The Democrat Party’s weaponization of the government is a top issue in the minds of Republican voters.
Ever since the Russia collusion hoax the FBI threw itself into political fight after political fight on behalf of the Democrat Party.
FBI Director Christopher Wray even went so far as to say Antifa was an idea while at the same time running the largest manhunt in history including illegally accessing the bank records and communications of Americans to arrest every last Trump supporter who was even in the vicinity of the Capitol on January 6.
And after the Biden Justice Department got caught trying to slip a secret immunity deal for Hunter Biden past a judge and piling more charges up against Donald Trump, GOP voters demanded presidential candidates lay out their plan to rein in the deep state and end the weaponization of the federal government.
South Carolina Senator Tim Scott is rising in the polls as his establishment-friendly brand of Republicanism is gaining some traction as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s campaign implodes.
And at an event in Iowa, Scott floated the idea of picking Trey Gowdy to replace the disastrous Christopher Wray as FBI director.
Asked about the FBI, @votetimscott talks about the need “to purge the entire political environment of the Department of Justice.”
He then says he would consider asking former South Carolina Congressman and federal prosecutor @TGowdySC to lead the FBI.

Tim Scott tried to cut a deal with Democrats on anti-police legislation following the death of George Floyd.
Scott also played the race card to join Democrats in sinking two of Donald Trump’s outstanding conservative judicial nominees.
So it was not surprising that the establishment-aligned Scott would want Trey Gowdy as the FBI director.
Gowdy would not be a good choice for this role as Gowdy supports red flag confiscation laws and the type of illegal domestic spying the FBI used to surveil the Trump campaign during the Russia collusion hoax.
Presidential contender Vivek Ramaswamy laid out why he believes it is so important not to reform the FBI, but to end the FBI.
“The Department of Education, the FBI, the ATF, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the IRS, the Department of Commerce. Many of these should not exist,” Ramaswamy said in an interview with Fox News saying you could add “the CDC” to the list.
“I’m going to be the president of government shut down, as in literally shutting down the administrative state that sits under the executive branch,” Ramaswamy added. “That will be a big part of my domestic policy legacy because that will also stimulate our economy. The regulatory state is the wet blanket on businesses across this country. So not only will we restore our three-branch constitutional republic, we will also restore four-plus percent GDP growth in this country. That’s two wins.”
The FBI interfered in the last three elections with the Russia hoax, helping Big Tech censor the Hunter Biden laptop story, and raiding Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home just over 90 days before the midterm elections.
And many conservatives are worried what stunts the FBI will pull in 2024.
