“In 1996, Nancy Pelosi and Pat Kennedy, announced publicly that they were going to take me out of politics,” DeLay told World Net Daily.
In the ensuing years, the Democrats had it out for Delay, filing multiple ethics charges complaints (which were all dismissed) and accusing him of improperly funneling donations to Texas House candidates.
For a while, it seemed to be working.
That is, until Delay found out a Texas Court of Criminal Appeals upheld an earlier ruling throwing out his conviction in 2010 on charges he made illegal moves for political donations.
Delay estimates that in the 11 years since Democrats have tried to move the former Majority Leader effectively out of the game, he’s spent $12 million dollars in legal fees. Which is why he’s considering leveling a lawsuit against the Travis County DA.
Though Delay won this round, he isn’t letting everything just slide on by.
He posits the methodology by which the Democrats attempted to remove him from office is straight out of the Marxist playbook, and shows just how crooked and underhanded the left can be as they attempt to oppose conservative ideology.

What the Democrats did to me is right out of the pages of Saul Alinsky’s ‘Rules for Radicals’… People don’t understand, but it’s the politics of Karl Marx that drive the far left in control of the Democratic Party.
And Delay wants every American to understand these are the policies driving the nation forward day by day.
The point is that in Barack Obama the American people are getting to see a radical Marxist with a worldview that makes him happy with the chaos that’s going on, he said. This is exactly what Obama wants done, and people are finally seeing Obama for who he really is.
And Delay insists more needs to be done by conservatives to ensure the Marxists don’t win.
The Republican Party leadership does not understand they are dealing with the far left when they are dealing with the Democrats today. The Democrats want to destroy you and your family. They want to bankrupt you and put you in a coffin so they can dance on your grave.
Democrats have been on the warpath as of late, taking any chance they can to nail the opposition.
Recently, Dinesh D’Souza was convicted of improper campaign financing charges and was sentenced as a punishment for his crime.
It’s widely believed D’Souza was targeted by the Obama administration after he made the expository documentary 2016: Obama’s America.
Unsurprisingly, after all the commotion has settled down, Delay might return to D.C. He believes the Republican party needs to bring “defining politics from the perspective of 30,000 feet so we can explain to voters what’s really going on today.”
The truth is what voters don’t know will hurt them.
