House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is in big trouble.
The political tides are shifting as impeachment backfires on the Democrat Party in spectacular fashion.
And now this $10 million dollar check is about to save Nancy Pelosi’s failing career.
Nancy Pelosi started this year out on a roll.
But ever since the summer, her control over Congress has started to crumble.
With articles of impeachment against the President now heading to the House floor, Pelosi knows that the game is up.
She can’t keep her entire caucus united behind the push to impeach Trump, and she’s on the road to losing control of the House of Representatives in 2020.
But she does have one more trick up her sleeve in a desperate effort to save her party’s control of the House next year.
And that trick is none other than mega-liberal billionaire Michael Bloomberg.
Bloomberg has been a massive Democratic donor for years.
He’s also bankrolled efforts to destroy the Second Amendment in states across the country.
But with the former New York City Mayor now running for president, Bloomberg is spending obscene amounts of money on his awkward presidential campaign.
For Bloomberg, dropping over $100 million to get him the Democratic nomination is just a drop in the bucket.
But he’s not finished there.
Bloomberg is also working overtime to make sure that Democrats retain control of the House of Representatives when the 2020 general election rolls around.
And that starts with a massive, $10 million contribution to Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats who are in danger of losing their seats when President Trump returns to the top of the ballot next year.
CBS reports, “Former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg plans to donate $10 million to help shore up vulnerable House Democrats being targeted by allies of President Trump because of the ongoing impeachment inquiry.”
“A spokesman for Bloomberg confirmed the spending — an announcement that comes as the former mayor plans to spend today picking up endorsements for his presidential bid in California. The mayor of Stockton, California, is set to endorse Bloomberg, a day after the mayor of San José, a former supporter of the presidential bid of Senator Kamala Harris, Democrat of California, signed on to serve as his California co-chairman,” adds CBS News.
For Bloomberg, this could be another way that the multi-billionaire Democrat is trying to buy his party’s presidential nomination.
And in the event that he is the nominee, he wants to make sure he has a loyal Congress that owes their offices to his campaign checks.
It’s a subtle way to buy control of Congress while at the same time campaign for president against Donald Trump.
But it’s a gamble that may not pay off.
Bloomberg’s campaign has already spent well over $100 million in ads, and he’s only gotten to 5% in the polls.
