Rush Limbaugh is willing to take on anybody.
All he cares about is getting the truth to the American public.
And he just exposed an anti-American secret about the NBA.
In recent days, the NBA has been under fire due to their refusal to stand up for free speech against the anti-freedom communist Chinese government.
The scandal began when Daryl Morey, the Houston Rockets general manager, sent out a tweet in support of pro-Democracy protestors in Hong Kong.
Despite it being quickly deleted, it created a firestorm.
With the NBA continuing to expand in China, they are forced to comply with harsh restrictions on free speech.
To try to clear things up, NBA commissioner Adam Silver released two statements where he tells the Chinese government that he “regrets” that the tweet was put out.
He is caving to the anti-freedom agenda of the communist Chinese government.
And he is only doing so for money.
But it doesn’t seem to be working.
Already, business leaders and the state-run broadcast network in China are threatening to cut ties with the NBA.
This is bad news for the basketball league considering that there are already a series of games on schedule to be played in China.
So currently, in order to try to avoid having things get worse, the NBA is cancelling all Chinese press conferences in order to avoid players being asked questions about Hong Kong.
Following this news, Rush Limbaugh was furious, and made his opinion known to his viewers.
“They are sidling up to the most repressive anti-free speech, anti-freedom regime you can find on the planet today,” Limbaugh said. “Communist China! Over one tweet by a general manager for the Houston Rockets supporting Hong Kong freedom fighters!”
He then went on to bring up the famous video of a man standing in front of a tank during the 1989 Tiananmen Square protests.
Limbaugh states that the NBA’s decision is akin to them calling for that man to be thrown in jail:
“Remember when the one guy stood up in front of the tank at Tiananmen Square, remember everybody stood up and loved that guy? This would be the equivalent if the NBA said, ‘Put that guy in jail!’”
Rush Limbaugh is the biggest voice on talk radio.
Millions of people listen to his voice every single day.
The fact that he is willing to take on the communist Chinese shows that he has guts.
But the NBA is showing they aren’t willing to stand up for anything.
In order to advance their business interests in China, they are willing to abandon the very freedoms they enjoy from being a U.S. company.
The protesters in Hong Kong are standing up for freedom, and they love the United States.
They want nothing more than for their government to be more like the U.S.
And the NBA is willing to allow the communist government to silence Americans employed by them.
Do you think Americans should boycott the NBA?
