Secretary of War Pete Hegsteth stood up before the microphones and cameras.
No one was prepared for what he was about to say.
And Pete Hegseth ripped the fake news to shreds for this sick attack on Trump.
The anti-Trump media will even seize on American combat deaths to try to paint President Trump in a bad light.
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth stepped up to set the record straight during a press conference to update Americans on the status of the war with Iran.
Hegseth told Americans that the U.S. and Israeli militaries achieved complete air dominance over Iran, and they could strike targets at will.
Hegseth went on to say that Hegseth could pummel Iran’s missile and military capabilities until President Trump declared the mission over.
But Hgeseth wanted to reassure Americans that “his is not a mission-accomplished situation. This is simply a reality check.”
“Mission Accomplished” was the fateful banner President George W. Bush stood in front of on the USS Abraham Lincoln on May 1, 2003, to declare the end of major combat operations in Iraq.
That turned out to be a massive blunder as the war dragged on for years and attempts at nation-building failed.
Hegseth wanted Americans to understand that Iran could still lob missiles and launch drone attacks at U.S. targets.
“Sure, Iran will still be able to shoot some missiles and still be able to launch one-way attack drones at civilian targets, and their proxies will attempt to attack our embassies, bases, and soft targets,” Hegsteh added.
The Secretary of War wanted Americans to understand that America would crush the attackers.
“They are terrorists, after all. And they need to target civilians because they can’t fight toe-to-toe,” Hegseth continued.
“But we will find them, and we will kill them,” Hegseth went on to say.
Hegseth then turned his attention to the fake news media and ripped Trump-hating reporters for playing up Iran’s attacks on American targets and downplaying American success.
“This is what the fake news misses. We’ve taken control of Iran’s airspace and waterways without boots on the ground. We control their fate,” Hegseth declared.
Hegseth then slammed the press for focusing on American casualties, such as the six service members killed in Kuwait, to try to embarrass Trump and drive down support for the war.
“But when a few drones get through or tragic things happen, it’s front-page news,” Hegseth exclaimed.
“I get it, the press only wants to make the president look bad, but try for once to report the reality,” Hegseth scolded reporters.
But Hegseth emphasized that America controlled the theater of war and the war would end on America’s terms.
“We will set the terms of this war at every step. As I said Monday, the mission is laser-focused,” Hetseth reminded the press.
“Obliterate Iran’s missiles and drones and facilities that produce them, annihilate its Navy and critical security infrastructure, and sever their pathway to nuclear weapons. Iran will never possess a nuclear bomb, not on our watch,” Hegseth said.
“And this is why President Trump’s moral clarity on Iran today is so vital,” Hegseth concluded.
