A new healthcare system has been in the works for some time now, and Republicans are finally getting close to signing legislation.
But the political left will always combat any change in the hopes they get their own way, which in this case, is to keep ObamaCare.
Nancy Pelosi just slammed the new GOP health care bill, calling it “sad, mean, and heartless” – but did she even read the new plan?
Pelosi has a history of simply skimming through legislation and either accepting it or rejecting it based on whether it’s a Republican or Democrat bill.
But her political bias is affecting her job, as a new healthcare system is so desperately needed to get Americans out of the disastrous plan Obama previously forced them into.
Pelosi remains blinded by her party’s views as she slammed the bill without fully understanding it.
The Daily Caller reported:
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi slammed the Senate GOP’s health care bill, calling it “sad, mean, and heartless.”
Senate Republicans finally released the text of a bill to replace Obamacare Thursday after cries from Democrats that the bill-writing process was not transparent enough.
It didn’t take long for Pelosi to opine on the bill, which, among other things, would repeal the Individual Mandate and Obamacare taxes and make cuts to Medicare.
The new health care act will have large portions similar to the one that passed through the House in May, but other parts will be different.
Americans will finally have a choice whether or not they can or want purchase health insurance, and there will be big savings from Medicaid.
The Washington Post reported:
“Much of its largest outlines will mimic the House version passed in May. Parts of it will be different. It’s almost certain to result in millions fewer Americans having insurance. It will also enact big savings for Medicaid.”
As an avid speaker against President Trump, Pelosi seems to be losing political favor in the House of Representatives as Minority Leader.
Her constant efforts against changes are directly contributing to the decline of political hold the Democrats have in the government.
And as Democrats reel in their most recent defeat, some are wondering if Pelosi is to blame and needs to step down.
The National Review reported:
“I think you’d have to be an idiot to think we could win the House with Pelosi at the top,” said Filemon Bela, a Texas Democrat who supported Pelosi when she ran for leadership last year. “Nancy Pelosi is not the only reason Ossoff lost,” Vela told Politico. “But she is certainly one of the reasons”.
