To say that Nancy Pelosi has had a bad year would be an understatement.
With Donald Trump in the presidency, she hasn’t been able to get a thing done.
And now she will be in tears after seeing the results of this poll.
If there’s one thing Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi wants more than anything, it’s for President Trump to be gone.
And with Democrat impeachment efforts going nowhere, their only hope is to defeat him in the 2020 election.
But as time goes by, she is beginning to realize that will be much harder than Democrats are trying to claim it will be.
Democrats like to believe that all of America is as rapidly anti-Trump as they are.
But the fact of the matter is that most Americans care more about results than blind hatred.
And even some traditionally Democrat voters are finding it more and more difficult to find the bad in what Trump is doing.
The unemployment rate is hitting historic lows, and the economic outlook is better than it has been in decades.
Not only that, but Trump is following through on the promises he made on the campaign trail.
He is making progress on his border wall and is following through on implementing historic trade deals that benefit American workers.
That’s why the latest polling shows that Trump is doing better than he ever has been.
At this point, everybody knows that presidential polls are stacked against Trump.
He and his allies always outperform whatever the polling shows.
Going into the 2016 election, some polls showed Trump with just a 5% chance of winning against Hillary Clinton.
So when Trump starts to actually lead in the polls, it is a bad sign for the Democrat Party, and their current de-facto leader Nancy Pelosi.
That’s exactly what a new Florida Atlantic University poll shows.
In the poll of Florida voters, Trump is leading every major Democrat in the running in a match-up.
Elizabeth Warren is the most competitive of the candidates, but Trump still narrowly defeats her with 50.1 percent to her 49.9 percent.
In the case of Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders, Trump has a solid point lead over them.
And against Kamala Harris, Trump has a very solid lead, being four points ahead.
This is in a state where Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016 with 48.6 percent to her 47.4 percent.
FAU political science professor Dr. Kevin Wagner responds to the poll by pointing to Warren as the main competitor, but adds that Trump is in a dead heat with every leading Democrat.
“While Joe Biden continues to lead other primary candidates in Florida, Elizabeth Warren is gathering strength and is becoming a real competitor for the state,” Wagner said.
“President Trump is in a dead heat with the leading Democrats in Florida, which continues to be the largest battleground state,” he added.
There is a lot of time before now and the 2020 election.
Anything could happen.
But if these are Trump’s poll numbers this early out, things are looking good for the President.
