Chuck Schumer isn’t used to getting this kind of treatment.
The liberal media normally coordinates with Schumer in attacking Trump.
But the tables were turned, and Chuck Schumer snapped after being confronted with this simple question.
Democrats could always count on MSNOW host Joe Scarborough to exploit his Morning Joe program to savage President Trump for four hours every day.
A recent broadcast, however, flew off the rails.
That’s because Scarborough pressed (D-NY) to answer the question about whether it was a good thing America degraded Iran’s military and wouldn’t let go until Schumer gave him an answer.
“Is it good that their military infrastructure is being degraded? You know the degree. Yes or no?” Scarborough wondered.
Democrats don’t want to give President Trump credit for anything, and Schumer figured that since MSNOW was a friendly platform, he could get away with dodging the question.
“You can’t, because it’s a premature question,” Schumer answered. “What is gonna happen in the next several months?”
Scarborough refused to play along and pinned Schumer down for an answer.
“Regardless of whether we agree with going in or not, is it good that Iran’s military infrastructure has been seriously degraded?” Scarborough followed up.
Schumer tried to dodge the question again, saying it was too soon to tell if America sinking Iran’s Navy and degrading 90 percent of its ballistic missile capability was a good thing since a parade of hypothetical horrible may yet come true.
“I have to tell you, Joe, first, what’s gonna happen three months from now. Is it worth it? What’s gonna happen? Will the world economy collapse? Will something even worse happen? Will the whole energy infrastructure of the world go up in smoke?” said Schumer on possible outcomes of the destruction of Iran’s military. “So you have to, when they do it without planning, when they do it without understanding, where they’re going, I don’t think it’s fair—” Schumer began to respond before Scarborough cut him off.
Scarborough said the answer was an unequivocal “yes” that obliterating Iran’s military capabilities was a good thing.
“Let me answer the question for everybody in America,” Scarborough declared. “The answer’s yes, it’s good that the terrorist regime their military has been and capabilities have been degraded radically. The question, Mike, though, is political. It’s the political question. What is the political impact?”
Democrats can’t stand to give Trump credit for anything.
And their base opposes the war.
There is a movement among Democrats to dump Schumer as Senate leader after the 2026 election.
Schumer knew if he answered Scarborough’s question honestly, there would be hell to pay for him on the left.
