President Trump has Mexico right where he wants them.
After finally getting the Mexican government to work with him to secure the border, Trump just got his first big break since striking a historic agreement with them.
And it just paid off big time after Mexico gave Trump a fire warning he knew was coming.
For years, President Trump warned that the southern border needed to be secured.
Even in the first days of his 2016 presidential campaign, Donald Trump warned that the border with Mexico needed to be secured.
The question was simple, either the United States would be a country that enforced its own borders, or it would fall to an endless stream of unchecked illegal immigration.
Trump offered the American people a simple question about whether or not they wanted to have a country, and they voted to elect him to office in part on his promise to solve this issue, end illegal immigration, and secure the border.
Since taking office, this has remained one of the biggest challenges for the President, in part because of political obstructionism by Congressional Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, but also in part because of the Mexican government itself.
But after threatening to impose stiff tariffs on Mexican imports unless Mexico agreed to assist the United States in bringing order to the southern border, President Trump watched with joy as Mexico immediately caved and agreed to his demands.
Since then, Mexico has dispatched troops to its northern border and cooperated with the United States on tracking illegal border crossings.
And now, Mexico is also working with the United States to combat the threat of terrorists attempting to exploit the border in order to enter America without being detected.
Breitbart has the story, “Mexico’s President and his top security official confirmed the warning by the U.S. government about three ISIS terror suspects who were likely headed north. The three individuals were recently detained in Nicaragua.”
“The alert identifies the suspects as Ibrahim Mohamed and Mohamed Eissa of Egypt, and Ahamed Ghanim Mohamed Al Juburi from Iraq,” adds Breitbart.
This was a long time in the making.
President Trump has known for years that the threat of ISIS using the US border with Mexico to sneak into America in order to carry out attacks has been a real threat.
And it’s part of the reason he’s fought so hard to secure the border and build the wall.
But now with Mexico’s official warning to the United States, it’s clear that threat could become a reality.
While the three ISIS agents were captured in Nicaragua earlier this week as they were trying to make their way into Mexico, it’s clear that the potential for additional plots by ISIS agents to get into the country via its southern border will continue without building the wall.
Do you think President Trump is right to secure the border and prevent ISIS from entering the United States through Mexico?
