One of them is Megyn Kelly.
Kelly told listeners of her podcast that the Democrats’ falsehoods about law enforcement suffering from systemic racism offended her because of the experience of her police officer brother.
Kelly recounted how her brother suffered a serious injury when a gang of thugs attacked her brother while he was on duty.
“This is one of the reasons why the narrative about police bothers me so much. I have a brother who’s a police officer. He’s now just retired, but he became a lieutenant. So he rose all the way up through the ranks in inner city, Albany, where I’m from, and he was attacked at one point by a gang of thugs who came after him and really hurt him,” Kelly began.
Kelly said the beatdown did nothing to deter her brother who went right back on patrol as soon as he healed from his injuries.
“He was in the hospital for a long time. And what did he do when he got better? He went right back out. This is when he was a beat, you know — on foot patrolman, went right back out and kept protecting them and went into house after house,” Kelly continued.
Kelly explained her brother patrolled a predominantly black neighborhood and worked every day to maintain law and order and protect the innocent.
“This a predominantly black neighborhood. House after house, protecting women who were getting beaten and kids who were getting hurt. And, you know, black members of the community who were victims of black-on-black crime, which is what it tended to be there,” Kelly added.
Kelly said the lies Democrats spread about police after the death of George Floyd infuriated her because the vast majority of police officers are good people that put their lives on the line every day to protect their communities.
“And then because of some cop in Minneapolis, he’s got the nation pointing at him saying, ‘You’re a racist. You’re a terrible person. You’re a racist, and you and your fellow cops don’t deserve funding for what you do,’” Kelly added.
But Democrats and the media drive this myth.
One poll found that liberals believe police kill 1,000 unarmed black men per year.
The real number is 20 but liberals are completely misinformed and hate police because they buy into the lies about cops being racists out on the hunt to kill innocent black men.
Kelly warned this poisonous attitude would lead to fewer Americans wanting to be police officers and the effect is already noticeable as violent crime is surging in America’s cities.
“He’s just one example of cops who are like, ‘What? Like, this is the thanks that we get?’ And he continued doing his job as did his brethren out there serving the community. But so many have said, ‘Forget this. Forget it. Why would I do this,’” Kelly concluded.
The more Americans focus on crime the worse it is for Democrats.
And Megyn Kelly gave a real-world example of the type of story that has Americans turning on Joe Biden and his party because of their failure to tackle crime.
