Megyn Kelly’s career at NBC is off to a rocky start.
She’s seen one show canceled and another plagued by low ratings.
But now Kelly may have just gotten herself fired with what she said about Elizabeth Warren.
Megyn Kelly Takes On Elizabeth Warren’s PR Stunt
Elizabeth Warren knows if she runs for President, she has to answer to Donald Trump mocking her with the nickname “Pocahontas.”
Trump gave her that nickname because she lied for years about being Native American in order to advance her career.
Warren tried to shut it down by taking a DNA test.
But that blew up in her face.
It showed she was as little as 1/1,024 Native American.
Warren’s failed attempt to prove she could stand up to Trump dominated the news.
NBC’s Morgan Radford tried to defend Warren on Megyn Kelly’s show by declaring that, “acknowledging who you are isn’t using who you are.”
Kelly shocked her liberal audience by having none of it.
“It is when you are touted as the first Native American professor at Harvard Law School and you’re not Native American,” Kelly responded.
“We ripped on a woman not long ago, a young high school girl wearing a prom dress that was kimono style, saying she was guilty of cultural appropriation,” she declared. “Elizabeth Warren is out there representing that she’s got a heritage that at best is probably similar to most Americans in this country, none of whom check the box.”
“She scored on herself. She scored a goal against herself,” Kelly stated.
Megyn Kelly Agrees With Donald Trump
Kelly’s comments put her on the same side as Donald Trump on this issue.
Trump fired off a series of tweets blasting Warren for lying about her fake Native American heritage:
Pocahontas (the bad version), sometimes referred to as Elizabeth Warren, is getting slammed. She took a bogus DNA test and it showed that she may be 1/1024, far less than the average American. Now Cherokee Nation denies her, “DNA test is useless.” Even they don’t want her. Phony!
Now that her claims of being of Indian heritage have turned out to be a scam and a lie, Elizabeth Warren should apologize for perpetrating this fraud against the American Public. Harvard called her “a person of color” (amazing con), and would not have taken her otherwise!
Critics wondered why Kelly would take this tack.
NBC is a liberal network with a left-leaning audience.
Some speculate that she wants to go back to Fox News.
Kelly’s move to NBC has not worked out for her—nor NBC.
Her shows have flopped and she hasn’t played a big role in the network’s news coverage.
Critics believe she is trying to win back the conservative fans she alienated when she attacked Donald Trump in 2016.
Kelly hinted at this when she also defended Brett Kavanaugh and noted he had a right to due process.
Will this result in NBC letting Kelly walk back to Fox News when her contract is up?
