Vice President Kamala Harris found a new way to humiliate herself in public.
But the latest Kamala Harris gaffe takes the cake.
And Kamala Harris told this huge lie that will leave you red with rage.
The real “Big Lie” is the falsehood pushed by Democrats that Republican legislatures passing election integrity laws amounts to “Jim Crow 2.0.”
Harris amplified this lie at an event commemorating the anniversary of “Bloody Sunday” where Alabama state police officers beat up civil rights demonstrators marching across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma back in 1965.
In her remarks Harris baselessly claimed that Republicans who support election integrity measures such as voter ID and in-person voting were akin to the police officers who bloodied the civil rights marchers in Selma.
“Those brave marches continued to push forward to secure the freedom to vote. And they were pushed back. Today we stand on this bridge at a different time. We again, however, find ourselves caught in between injustice and justice, between disappointment and determination, still in a fight, to form a more perfect union,” Harris stated.
Harris then falsely claimed there was actually a fight in America to restrict the right to vote.
“Nowhere is that more clear than when it comes to the ongoing fight to secure the freedom to vote,” Harris added.
There is no law anywhere in America that would take away even one person’s ability to cast a ballot.
The laws Republican states passed beefed up voter ID laws and rolled back some of the pandemic rules Democrats took advantage of such as ballot drop boxes, drive-through voting and unlimited mail-in voting.
Harris then lied claiming Republicans don’t want people to vote.
“A record number of people cast their ballots in the 2020 elections. It was a triumph of democracy in many ways. But not everyone saw it that way. Some saw it as a threat. And so as powerful people have done many times in our nation’s history, they launched an assault on the freedom to vote,” Harris exclaimed.
Harris then promoted the Democrats’ pet legislation to impose a federal takeover of election administration.
“We brought the Freedom to Vote Act, yes, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to the floor of the United States Senate,” Harris stated. “And on the night of Jan. 19, every Republican senator in the United States Senate voted to block passage of this law.”
These bills would render voter ID laws unenforceable while imposing the expanded mail-in voting rules from the 2020 election on all 50 states.
Both of these bills stalled in Congress as Democrats cannot break a GOP filibuster.
That left Democrats grasping at straws to find a path forward.
And as is typical, Kamala Harris resorted to the left’s go-to move and played the race card.
