Polls show Kamala Harris is the least popular vice president in the last 50 years.
Harris and her allies thought they could rescue her political standing.
But now Kamala Harris realized this tragic leak was the final nail in her coffin.
Ever since taking office Kamala Harris found herself the subject of unrelenting negative corporate media coverage.
Since Harris is a Democrat — and also as a black woman checks the left’s most important identity politics boxes — it takes a cosmic level of incompetence to get the press to turn on her.
That — however — is exactly the situation Harris finds herself in.
Chris Whipple’s new book about the first two years of Biden’s administration features staffers dumping on Harris.
One aide revealed to Whipple that Harris believed she was the equivalent of a student who skipped class all semester and showed up shocked to find out they could not ace the final exam.
This led to private meltdowns where Harris blamed staffers for her own inability to master the nuances of policy and speak coherently on subjects while out in public.
The aide said Harris “refused to do the kind of preparation that you need to do before going public on a hardcore policy matter. And then she became incensed and outraged when things wouldn’t go the way she thought they were supposed to. There was a lot of magical thinking.”
Another staffer said they wanted to make sure the details about Harris’s horrific management style made it to the public in case Harris tries to run for president in 2024 and 2028 so Democrat voters do not make the mistake of nominating her.
“I think it’s helpful for people to know that this is not new, and it will inhibit any administration that she is the leader of,” the staffer told Whipple.
Staffers complained to Whipple that whenever stories appear in the press about Harris’s pitiful political skills the common complaint on the left is that the critics want to see a black woman fail.
But the Harris aide said the only reason to go work for Harris is the desire to see her succeed on a national level.
“When somebody raises an issue about Kamala, everybody’s like, you don’t want to see black women succeed. That’s completely backward. Everybody who goes to work for Kamala, by definition, wants to see her succeed. That’s why you take these jobs,” the staffer explained.
Complaints about poor leadership skills dogged Harris since her earliest elected positions.
Former staffer Gil Duran worked with Harris when she served as attorney general of California.
“The amount of stress she created by constantly being impossible to manage and taking out all her stresses on staff — usually women, or people who were not in great positions of authority — was just kind of unbearable,” Duran stated.
Duran resigned just six months into his job.
The reporting in Whipple’s book lines up with a bombshell POLITICO story from June 2021 where the narrative about Harris being a horrible boss really took off.
Multiple staffers quit within six months and leaked to POLITICO that Harris created a toxic work environment.
“In interviews, 22 current and former vice presidential aides, administration officials and associates of Harris and Biden described a tense and at times dour office atmosphere. Aides and allies said Flournoy, in an apparent effort to protect Harris, has instead created an insular environment where ideas are ignored or met with harsh dismissals and decisions are dragged out. Often, they said, she refuses to take responsibility for delicate issues and blames staffers for the negative results that ensue,” POLITICO reported.
In truth of the matter, one of the factors forcing Biden to run for president in 2024 despite the fact that he will be 82 and in severe cognitive decline and that midterm exit polls showed 67 percent of voters do not want Biden to seek a second term is the fact that every Democrat knows Harris can’t defeat Donald Trump.
