Kamala Harris is now finding out she is not exactly a beloved figure in the Democrat Party.
The knives are out for the vice president.
And Kamala Harris just found what every Democrat whispers behind her back.
New York Times reporters Jonathan Martin and Alexander Burns’ new book “This Will Not Pass” details the rapid political decline of Kamala Harris’ political stock.
The book details the struggles of the first year of the failed Biden administration.
Many of those stumbles involved Vice President Kamala Harris.
According to Burns and Martin, Harris complained about her policy portfolio claiming Biden handed her impossible tasks such as the responsibility of border czar in aa administration committed to open borders as well as overseeing a federal power grab allowing Democrats to seize control of elections and cement a permanent majority.
White House Communications Director Kate Bedingfield – after watching Harris’ career be defined by her ability to fail upwards – reportedly realized the problem was that Harris was just a bumbler.
“In private, Bedingfield had taken to noting that the vice presidency was not the first time in Harris’s political career that she had fallen short of sky-high expectations: Her Senate office had been messy and her presidential campaign had been a fiasco. Perhaps, she suggested, the problem was not the vice president’s staff,” Burns and Martin reported.
Bedingfield’s response did not directly deny the story.
Instead, Bedingfield attacked Burns and Martin for not attaching anyone’s name to who told them the anecdote.
“The fact that no one working on this book bothered to call to fact check this unattributed claim tells you what you need to know,” Bedingfield stated. “Vice President Harris is a force in this administration and I have the utmost respect for the work she does every day to move the country forward.”
But Harris does have a long track record of failure dating back to her embarrassing effort in the 2020 Democrat presidential primary.
Harris shot to the top of the polls after taking down Joe Biden in the first Democrat presidential debate.
However, in a matter of weeks Harris’ support collapsed as Harris could not answer basic questions about her socialist health care plan and because voters came to believe Harris was a fraud that did not believe in anything.
Harris quietly dropped out of the race in late November 2019 months before any votes were cast.
The book also revealed that Harris understood her plight.
But the two reporters also wrote that other Democrats saw Harris’ poll numbers were lower than Biden’s and planned to challenge her in the 2024 primary if Joe Biden does not seek re-election.
“One senator close to her, describing Harris’s frustration level as ‘up in the stratosphere,’ lamented that Harris’s political decline was a ‘slow-rolling Greek tragedy,’” Martin and Burns reported. “Her approval numbers were even lower than Biden’s, and other Democrats were already eyeing the 2024 race if Biden declined to run.”
When Kamala Harris entered the 2020 Democrat presidential campaign some on the left thought she was the female Barack Obama.
But now, according to this book, many in the party are looking to dump her at the first opportunity after realizing she is nothing more than an overhyped identity politics candidate.
