Joe Biden already had a terrible problem of being too soft on China.
But now it’s grown ten times worse.
Joe Biden said three words that destroyed any chance he had of being president.
In his past, Joe Biden has underestimated China’s expanding power.
“Come on, man,” Biden said about China in 2019. “I mean, you know, they’re not bad folks, folks. But guess what, they’re not competition for us.”
When the world first learned about the raging epidemic of a novel coronavirus in Wuhan, China, Biden’s main concern was that Trump’s travel ban was xenophobic and might cause racism towards Asians.
No one can now make the claim that the travel ban was a bad idea, and Biden is now trying to paint over his record.
The problem is that Biden didn’t take the outbreak seriously in the beginning and he isn’t taking it seriously now.
If Biden was taking the outbreak seriously, he wouldn’t be talking about refunding the WHO.
The WHO gave credibility to the bad information that China was spreading. On January 14th the WHO said that there was no evidence of human-to-human transmission, parroting China’s lies.
Also, despite the fact that Taiwan has done a far better job of containing the virus than China, WHO Director-General Tedros ignored questions about their handling of the virus.
Tedros also accused Taiwan of spreading racist lies about him, helping promote China’s foreign policy.
There were real questions even before the Chinese coronavirus about China’s influence over the organization.
Now there are even more questions.
The WHO should not receive another penny of American taxpayers’ dollars if they were sugarcoating a serious pandemic to protect China.
The fact that Biden wants to refund the WHO without asking the hard questions is ridiculous, but that’s exactly what he says he’ll do.
According to Breitbart News:
During an interview with CBS4 Miami released on Monday, 2020 Democratic presidential candidate former Vice President Joe Biden stated that if he’s elected, he would restore funding to the World Health Organization.
CBS4 Investigative Reporter Jim DeFede asked, “If you’re elected president, will you restore funding to the World Health Organization?”
Biden responded, “Yes I will. But I’ll also insist that we have — do what we were doing before. We had set up a pandemic office within the White House, President Obama. We had CDC…forward stationed in other countries to anticipate when we might see a virus coming, a pandemic coming.”
Does Biden really think that having a pandemic office in the White House will do a bit of good?
Having an office in the White House won’t do a bit of good if the president is a weak man who isn’t willing to stand up to China or their allies.
President Trump has proved time and time again that he’s not willing to play China’s games.
Trump is strong and he always puts America first.
America just can’t afford to have a president who is weak on China like Biden.
