Joe Biden’s big lie to insert himself into the news cycle completely backfired.
His campaign is in complete shambles.
Joe Biden made a huge mistake there’s no recovering from.
Joe Biden has a huge problem with his campaign.
It isn’t fair to blame the problems completely on the Chinese coronavirus, the issues that are plaguing his campaign were there long before.
The truth of the matter is that Joe Biden was never someone that had an enthusiastic following, he’s the presumptive nominee because the Democrat leadership liked him better than Bernie Sanders.
But when he was winning, campaigning, and his speeches were carefully read from a teleprompter, it was easier for Democrats to gloss over that fact.
That could be seen in the fact that the press was constantly hoping for another candidate to jump in the race and save the Democrat Party from a Biden candidacy.
Now it is clearer as Joe Biden is an old man, stuck at home, with no role to play in the unfolding events.
Every time Biden inserts himself into the conversation, it feels like a misstep.
His most recent attempt was an utter disaster.
After berating Trump for banning travel with China, he is now falsely claiming that 45 countries banned travel before America.
According to The Daily Wire:
Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden made a series of confusing and contradictory remarks on Sunday during an interview on ABC News about the coronavirus outbreak.
Appearing on ABC News’ “This Week,” Biden attacked President Trump after Biden reversed course last week and said that he agreed with Trump’s travel restrictions on China after initially appearing to suggest that Trump was xenophobic for banning travel from China.
“He indicated that I complimented him on – on dealing with China,” Biden said. “Well, you know, 45 nations had already moved to keep – block China’s personnel from being able to come to the United States before the president moved.”
Biden’s statement is completely false. 45 other nations did not “block China’s personnel from being able to come to the United States before the president moved.”
Joe Biden would be far better off being silent on the issue instead of drawing attention to the fact that he was against the move at the time, claiming it was xenophobic and unproductive.
Now all international travel has come to a halt and even the most radically liberal countries have closed their borders.
But Biden later in the interview went back on his claim that travel bans were useful and said, “You know, these viruses as you know, George, they have no borders, you can’t build a wall, you can’t put up – you can’t have, you know, people at the border trying to stop it, it’s beyond that capacity,” Biden said. “You have to know what’s coming, where it’s coming from, and how to deal with.”
Actually, viruses do know borders because they can’t move without human hosts. That’s why social distancing works.
The Democrats’ talking points from January look completely foolish now.
Joe Biden would look far better saying that Trump was right to ban travel with China back in January and the rest of the world should have followed in America’s footsteps.
