Joe Biden’s latest outburst could be the last straw for his struggling campaign.
There’s no way he can come out of this looking good.
Joe Biden hit Donald Trump with a criminal allegation that no one could believe.
The Democrats got into a lazy habit of criticizing President Trump unthinkingly, no matter what he did.
This isn’t a smart tactic as it turns out.
Especially in a fast-moving situation like the Chinese coronavirus, where the situation is constantly shifting.
Joe Biden’s opposition of Trump’s China travel ban in January now looks like the height of foolishness.
If the Democrats were smart, they would hold off on making criticisms until after the crisis has passed.
The worst case of their unthinking attacks of Trump is the way they have set themselves against hydroxychloroquine.
Why would they attack Trump for promoting a potentially lifesaving drug that has some data to back it up?
Can Democrats not see that their attempts to keep doctors from prescribing hydroxychloroquine for coronavirus are going to reflect very badly on them unless the medicine fails to be effective at treating coronavirus at all?
If they were smart, they would only attack Trump if hydroxychloroquine proved to be a failure.
Instead, an Ohio Democratic state representative who was reportedly named a senior advisor to Joe Biden is demanding that Trump be tried for “crimes against humanity” because of his statements promoting the drug.
She tweeted, “I can’t take it anymore. I’ve been to The Hague. I’m making a referral for crimes against humanity tomorrow. Today’s press conference was the last straw. I know the need for a prosecution referral when I see one,” with a link to a criticism of the President’s words on hydroxychloroquine.
According to the Ohio Capital Journal:
With state legislators working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, Rep. Tavia Galonski is turning her attention to federal and international matters. On Sunday night, she posted to Twitter her intention to report the president to The Hague. Asked by the Capital Journal if she legitimately intended to pursue this action, Galonski replied: “Yes!”
Just how Galonski planned to initiate this plan, the representative was not at first sure.
“I honestly have no idea,” Galonski told the Capital Journal on Sunday evening. “But how hard can it be?”
She said her plan was to find out on Monday the referral procedure for reporting an alleged crime against humanity to The Hague.
Another Democratic state senator was singing a different tune after she got the coronavirus.
Michigan Democratic State Representative Karen Whitsett wants the bias against hydroxychloroquine to stop.
“I really want to say that you have to give this an opportunity,” Whitsett said to Fox News. “For me, it saved my life.”
American doctors are using hydroxychloroquine less than the doctors in France and Spain, according to one poll.
Should the leaders of France and Spain be brought up on charges against the international court?
The Democrats’ attacks are so idiotic that they would be laughable if they weren’t working to keep doctors from prescribing the medicine.
