The View is a show where five co-hosts sit around and wallow in their Trump Derangement Syndrome.
It’s not friendly territory for a Republican.
But JD Vance went on The View and just pulled off the impossible.
Vice President Vance showed why President Trump picked him as his running mate with a tour-de-force media blitz where Vance defended Trump’s deal to end the Iran War and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
The liberal media constantly demonizes Vance as some kind of hyper online “bro” who is a racist, sexist, and nationalist.
But in his media appearances, especially on The View, Vance showcased his intelligence, his charm, and his natural appeal as a down-to-earth soon-to-be father of four.
Vance even quipped during a White House press briefing that jousting with the co-hosts of The View prepared him to negotiate with the Iranians.
“I would point those progressive critics to the fact that just two days ago, I spent over an hour on ‘The View,’ so I actually have great experience in very hostile negotiations,” Vance joked. “Look, Joy Behar is way tougher than the Iranians, and she and I are best friends now.”
The View played that clip on a subsequent broadcast, and the hosts admitted Vance’s charm offensive worked.
“He came in strategically prepared to disarm us with niceness. He came in being affable and laughing easily and being very nice,” co-host Ana Navarro stated.
Vance was referring to a moment from the Behind the Table podcast where Joy Behar complimented him during a commercial break and said he should run for President.
“You told him during the break that he should run for president because he has a good vibe,” executive producer Brian Teta said to Behar.
Behar confirmed that it happened.
“I think that, even though, for a Republican. Mind you, I’m not a Republican,” Behar replied.
Joy Behar wasn’t the only liberal media figure giving Vance rave reviews for his defense of Trump’s Iran deal.
CNN contributor Lulu Garcia-Navarro praised Vance’s presentation.
“Can I just say, as an aside, the glow-up of JD Vance for this is pretty impressive. The tan, the trimness, the sharp suits. I just want to note, you know, he is presenting himself in a very glowed-up fashion,” Garcia-Navarro said.
Garcia-Navarro then complimented Vance’s intelligence and ability to effectively communicate in interviews.
“He’s great in interviews. I’ve interviewed him, and he is great in interviews. He is an able communicator. He communicates on many levels. That is one of his strong suits,” Garcia-Navarro added.
President Trump is constantly complimenting Vance as “great” when asked about the Vice President in interviews.
It’s now easy to see why Vance is the favorite to land Trump’s endorsement ahead of the 2028 Presidential Election.
