Former FBI Director James Comey is panicking.
He figured that the Democrats winning the House of Representatives would allow his crimes against Donald Trump to remain covered up.
But he just found out about the smoking gun that proves he’s guilty.
Republicans Continue To Investigate James Comey And The Deep State
Republicans are not giving up on their investigation into the Obama administration and the FBI for conspiring during the 2016 election to frame Donald Trump of colluding with Russia.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes appeared on Sunday Futures with Maria Bartiromo and gave a status update on his investigation.
Nunes said it was largely complete, but there were “four buckets” of classified documents he hopes Trump will declassify before the year’s end.
The House Intelligence Chairman stated that the first three buckets were documents about the Russia investigations.
But Nunes broke new ground when he said the fourth bucket revolved around emails that the FBI and Justice Department should have shared with the FISA court.
“The new fourth bucket that we’re asking to be declassified now is — for months we have been reviewing emails between FBI, and DOJ, and others that clearly show that they knew about information that should have been presented to the FISA court,” Nunes explained.
Republicans sent signals last week that they intended to subpoena former Attorney General Loretta Lynch as well as Comey to question them about these emails.
Comey responded to this news tweeting:
House Republicans can ask me anything they want but I want the American people to watch, so let’s have a public hearing. Truth is best served by transparency. Let me know when is convenient.
Critics believe the FBI hid information from the FISA court that would have shown that former Trump campaign aide Carter Page was not a Russian agent when they submitted their application to spy on him.
Nunes Calls For Special Counsel
Nunes repeated his call for a special counsel to investigate Comey and the others at the top of the FBI who conspired against Trump.
“This begs an investigation by the Department of Justice,” Nunes declared.
He continued, “So the Department of Justice under new leadership can actually go in and investigate these cast of dirty cops…and their connections to the Russians and their connections to the Clinton campaign. Either it’s a special counsel or the DOJ has to do that. That’s the way this is going to be solved.”
Nunes warned that the new Attorney General is going to have to lead any further investigations.
That’s because with the Democrats set to take over the House in January, they will squash any attempts to expose Comey and the rest of the Deep State’s criminal conduct.
There was no chance former Attorney General Jeff Sessions would lead such an investigation.
He caved in the face of fake news media and Deep State pressure.
But Trump supporters hope that once a new permanent Attorney General is in place, they will launch investigations into the FBI’s conduct, which many Americans believe is necessary.
