If there’s one thing we know for sure it’s that Donald Trump does not trust the news.
Which is why what his daughter recently said may throw quite a few of his fans for a loop.
Before we get into what his daughter said, let’s refresh where Trump is when it comes to the mainstream media.
As far as it goes between Donald Trump and the mainstream media they love to hate him and he loves AND hates the fact that they hate him.
The obvious haters are CNN, NBC, CBS… the typical left-wing media mouthpieces
And while he may throw a bone to Fox News every once in a while, if they say things he knows not to be true then he’s definitely not holding back and he’s letting them know they’re Fake News.
Truthfully, If Donald Trump has done anything since he became President he’s helped renew a healthy distrust of the media.
Which is actually a good thing.
Most of the mainstream media have drifted far from what they were originally intended to be… purveyors of unbiased truth.
And Donald Trump knows this, and he exposes the media for being so biased.
But his daughter doesn’t agree with the danger of the media. She doesn’t feel they’re the enemy of the people (even though most of them hate her too).
In a recent public appearance, the first-daughter said that even though the media may get it wrong from time to time, they’re ultimately serving the people.
“I’ve received my fair share of reporting on me personally that I know not to be fully accurate, so I’ve had some sensitivity around why people have concerns and gripe, especially when they sort of feel targeted…But no, I do not feel that the media is the enemy of the people.”
When asked about his daughter’s remarks Trump had this to say.
“[My} enemy of the people” line did not apply to all of the news media but rather only “a large percentage” of it.
“They asked my daughter Ivanka whether or not the media is the enemy of the people,” Trump said.
“She correctly said no. It is the FAKE NEWS, which is a large percentage of the media, that is the enemy of the people!”
