Ilhan Omar can’t help herself.
The Minnesota Congresswoman has become infamous across the country for her radical views and her endless racist attacks on Jewish Americans.
And now, she just crossed a major red line with this latest attack on a top Trump official.
Ilhan Omar has emerged as one of the most spiteful members of Congress to have just been elected in 2018.
The Freshman Democrat from Minnesota quickly emerged over the past four months as a lightning rod for the left, with her countless outrageous attacks and comments drawing such widespread criticism that a resolution condemning her actions and statements was even drafted up.
That resolution was ultimately watered down by Nancy Pelosi to the point of total irrelevancy, in a desperate bid to save her colleague from the humiliation of being singled out in a resolution that would have passed overwhelmingly.
But now Omar continues to dig herself into more and more trouble, and this time, she’s taking shots at one of President Trump’s top advisers which are completely backfiring on her.
The Washington Times reports, “Rep. Ilhan Omar said Monday senior White House adviser Stephen Miller, who is Jewish, is a white nationalist, renewing accusations that the freshman congresswoman is anti-Semitic.”
“Stephen Miller is a white nationalist. The fact that he still has influence on policy and political appointments is an outrage,” the Minnesota Democrat tweeted.
Miller, a top Trump adviser, is Jewish.
This is a reoccurring theme for Omar, who has joined the BDS movement which seeks to destroy Israel’s economy, has attacked Jewish Americans for holding dual loyalties and for allegedly not being true American citizens, and who has described the 9/11 attacks as simple as “some people did something”.
Omar is a walking gaffe machine constantly spewing out new controversies wherever she goes.
And this time is no different.
“Ms. Omar predictably came under fire for the comment, having also encountering backlash earlier this year for using anti-Semitic language while criticizing pro-Israel lobbyist groups and questioning the loyalty of Jewish lawmakers who pushed back against her criticisms of the Israeli government,” adds the Washington Times.
“I see that the head of the Farrakhan Fan Club, @IlhanMN, took a short break from spewing her usual anti-semitic bigotry today to accuse a Jewish man of being a ‘white nationalist’ because she apparently has no shame,” Donald Trump Jr., the president’s son, tweeted in response Monday.
Rep. Lee Zeldin, New York Republican, also criticized Ms. Omar: “During my time in Congress before [Ms. Omar] got here, I didn’t once witness another Member target Jewish people like this with the name calling & other personal attacks. In 2019 though, for [Ms. Omar], this is just called Monday.”
Omar has a habit of walking into attacks like this, and it really isn’t anything new to see her make a comment that blows up in her face like the one she just made about Miller.
But it is astounding to see how Omar can keep making the same mistake over and over again.
Do you think Omar should apologize?
