Democrats believe in never letting a crisis go to waste.
The coronavirus pandemic is no different.
Now Ilhan Omar could break America with this coronavirus betrayal.
Democrats want you to believe that America is uniquely unprepared for the challenges that the coronavirus will bring.
The truth is far different.
America’s healthcare system is the most expensive in the world but America isn’t paying all that money for no reason.
While a healthy person might be happy for the low cost of the English system, no one with a serious illness would rather be in England and try to navigate their system with long wait times and cost-saving measures.
The mainstream news often talk about how few hospital beds America has. That’s not actually a good measure of how good America’s healthcare system is.
The philosophy in the American healthcare system is that people are better off at home if that is possible because any hospital stay involves a risk of infection.
When it comes to the important resources that will make a difference in the fight against the coronavirus, America is doing far better.
America has 34 ICU beds per 100,000 people. England has just 6 ICU beds per 100,000 people.
England has 5,000 ventilators in the country. America has about 170,000.
Americans pay more but our healthcare system is far superior.
Ilhan Omar wants to gut the system that’s prepared America so well to deal with the Chinese coronavirus and make it like the English.
According to The Daily Wire:
Far-left Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) called for a government takeover of all private hospitals on Tuesday night as a way of alleviating “pressures” that they are facing from the outbreak of the coronavirus, which originated in China.
Omar wrote on Twitter, “Here is maybe a radical idea to deal with some of the pressures our healthcare system is facing: All private hospitals should be made public for the duration of the virus.”
Omar did not elaborate on how her call for a government takeover of private hospitals would solve anything.
The far-left Democrat’s call to takeover private hospitals comes as nearly every country around the world is dealing with the coronavirus, which has killed over 19,000 worldwide in just over two months.
Government control is more often a problem than a solution.
In the UK, doctors’ hands are tied by government regulation and they can’t make the decisions that are right for the patient, they make the choices the government tells them to make.
The UK government has decided that strep throat doesn’t need antibiotics, doctors can’t prescribe antibiotics for strep throat alone because the British government wants to save on medicine costs.
British citizens are unwilling to pay in more money to the healthcare system because they don’t know if they will see any benefits or if it will all be wasted with government mismanagement.
America shouldn’t listen to any attempts of the government to take over the medical system due to the coronavirus because America needs our top-rated medical system to get through this.
