Millions of Americans were saddened by the death of Reverend Billy Graham.
Over the course of his career, he had become affectionally known and respected as America’s preacher.
But you won’t believe how Barack Obama reacted to his death.
After Graham’s passing was announced, President Trump declared his body would lie in state at the Capitol Rotunda.
That makes him just the fourth individual to receive this high honor.
Trump’s decision shows the amazing effect Graham’s commitment to preach the gospel had on so many lives.
Arrangements also began being made for a memorial service in North Carolina.
President Trump is attending the service.
And former Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton traveled to his library to pay their respects.
But Barack Obama will not be attending.
The Associated Press reports:
“Former President Barack Obama is not planning to attend memorial services for the late evangelist Rev. Billy Graham this week.
Obama’s office disclosed the former president’s plans Monday.
Former President George W. Bush is paying his respects to Graham, known as the pastor to presidents, Monday afternoon at his library in North Carolina. Former President Bill Clinton will visit Tuesday to honor Graham’s memory.
President Donald Trump is expected to attend Graham’s funeral Friday in North Carolina after the preacher lies in honor at the U.S. Capitol this week.
Obama tweeted last week after Graham’s death that he was “a humble servant who prayed for so many” and who gave hope to generations.”
Critics point out that Obama spent eight years attacking Christianity, so they aren’t surprised at his disrespectful gesture.
In office, Obama tried to force the Little Sisters of the Poor to purchase abortion drugs.
And in one speech, he lectured Christians about being on their high horse about Islamic terrorism because hundreds of years ago they fought the crusades.
Obama took every opportunity to insult Christians and their beliefs.
So it’s not surprising that he will not be paying his respects to Reverend Billy Graham.
