This is not the news Democrats wanted to hear.
And it came from the last person Democrats wanted to hear from.
Hillary Clinton just refuses to go away.
Since her crushing defeat at the hands of Trump in 2016, Clinton has blamed everyone but herself for her election defeat.
She blamed the media for saying she was a lock to win, which, according to her, drove down the vote.
Clinton blamed the “basket of deplorables” for militating against her.
She blamed sexism while simultaneously arguing that women who didn’t vote for her were forced by their husbands to pull the lever for Trump.
The irony of that claim is just too rich.
And, of course, Clinton blamed the Russians for allegedly hacking her emails.
And in the lead up to the general election for 2020, Clinton has already predetermined her excuse for Trump’s potential victory.
In an interview with The Atlantic, Hillary is blaming Facebook.
She claimed Mark Zuckerberg, a wild leftist who once hosted a Barack Obama town hall, was an “authoritarian” who “intend[s] to re-elect Trump.”
That is a mind-numbing statement, but it gets even worse.
Her main bit of evidence is Facebook didn’t take down a “doctored” video of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi slurring her words.
“I said, ‘Why are you guys keeping this up? This is blatantly false. Your competitors have taken it down. And their response was, ‘We think our users can make up their own minds,’” Clinton said.
Clinton failed to mention the countless videos and fake articles about Trump that anyone can find on the platform.
It must’ve just been an oversight on her part.
Hillary added, “They have, in my view, contorted themselves into making arguments about freedom of speech and censorship.”
And there’s the crux of her complaint with Facebook.
The internet and the rise of social media, particularly YouTube, has created a serious problem for the Democrats and big media.
They no longer control the narrative.
People can bypass them and get the truth.
That’s why they want Facebook to censor any content that makes them look bad.
They understand the power of mockery, which is one of Saul Alinsky’s tenets in “Rules for Radicals.”
What’s truly hilarious about the left’s sudden onslaught against Zuckerberg is that they call him an authoritarian, but they want him to be the one who curates the information that can and cannot be seen on the platform.
That makes about as much sense as the gun control zealots who claim Donald Trump is Hitler, yet want to turn in all of the guns to him.
Clinton is being dishonest, which is par for the course.
She and other Democrats are merely bullying Zuckerberg into doing their bidding.
Twitter’s Jack Dorsey did exactly that by banning political ads, and for his troubles, he got a pat on the head from the left.
Democrats are taking serious hits on social media, and they’ll do anything to make sure they can control what you see and hear.
