Donald Trump’s love-hate relationship with Fox News took another turn.
Trump’s very public feud with a major anchor reached a boiling point.
And Donald Trump revealed something terrible about this top Fox News star.
“Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace stunned viewers by announcing he was leaving Fox News to become one of the faces of CNN+ – the liberal outlet’s new direct-to-consumer streaming platform.
Trump discussed the Wallace move – which is one of the biggest shakeups in Fox News history – with radio host Chris Salcedo.
In the interview, Trump unfavorably compared Chris Wallace to his father Mike who was a star correspondent for CBS’s flagship news magazine program “60 Minutes.”
“He always wanted to be his father, but he wasn’t born with that kind of talent,” Trump told Salcedo. “And we’re lucky to have him out.”
Trump – as well as many conservatives – soured on Wallace after Wallace’s performance as the moderator of the first 2020 presidential debate.
In that debate, Trump argued that Wallace acted like Joe Biden’s partner in a doubles tennis match where Wallace and Biden teamed up against Trump.
“When I had the debate, I was debating him and Biden,” Trump stated. “He was tougher. I was debating him and Biden. I said, ‘What is this? Am I debating two people or am I debating one?’”
Trump recalled one moment in the debate where Trump tried to attack Biden over a Senate report alleging that the wife of the ex-mayor of Moscow sent Hunter Biden $3.5 million.
Wallace blocked Trump from mentioning the subject to protect Biden from having to answer for allegations about his son’s foreign business dealings.
“Chris Wallace said, ‘No, we’re not allowing that question,’” Trump declared. “‘That’s not the subject we’re talking about.’ I said, ‘I think it is.’ The guy, he was–I thought he was third rate. He was a poor man’s version of his father.”
Wallace’s attempt to cover for Biden was one of the early attempts of the corporate media to shield Biden from any negative stories that may have caused voters to not support Joe Biden and instead vote for Trump.
Weeks after the debate, Twitter and Facebook censored a New York Post story detailing the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop which allegedly contained evidence of foreign influence peddling where the Biden family allegedly enriched itself.
Corporate media outlets then repeated the Biden campaign’s Big Lie about how the New York Post story was actually Russian disinformation to justify social media companies censoring the Post’s true and accurate reporting.
Members of the corporate media felt guilty after Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016.
“Reporters” believed reporting on the criminal investigation into Clinton allegedly mishandling classified information handed Trump the White House.
Many in the media vowed to never let anything like that happen again.
And Donald Trump felt Chris Wallace threw in with the Biden campaign in the first presidential debate and is not unhappy that Wallace left Fox News for CNN+.
